Dissociatives [DXM Subthread] First Plateau Trips

I know DXM freebase is water insoluble however I thought DXM Hbr was freely soluble (i.e. its pretty well dissolved in those 200ml bottles of syrup) and thus would dissolve into the water with the CPM.
 
It might be the alcohol in the syrup that the DXM HBr is dissolved it. But I don't actually know, I'm just throwing out a thought.
 
Expired Cough Syrup (DXM) need quick answer

Ive got some Cough syrup I wanna try with 10 mg dxm per 5 mL and the expiration date is 11/06 and thats 5 months ago :\ im wondering if its safe to take or not.

Quick answer would be nice. Thanks in advance.
 
^ It won't hurt you and it will still work. Only question I have, is it a DXM only containing syrup? (As far as active chemicals are concerned)
 
Robitussin DM? If so 4~8Fl oz is safe, even with Guaifenesin - any other active ingredients wouldn't be safe. Specifically Acetaminophen (APAP), and Chlorpheniramine Maleate.

This would be better in BDD, just saying.
 
It'll be fine then. Don't worry about it. I know some people will complain, but it will be fine. Just in the future, find something containing DXM only. The other chemical won't be detrimental. Have fun imo. :) As far as people bitching about other active ingredients, as long as it's only guafinesin, you will be fine. AND, for people bitching about pseudoephedrine, bah imo. Before I learned about better concoctions, I used Drixoral gels that had DXM and pseudo in them, only thing the pseudo did was make the trip more speedy and anxiety based, it won't kill you. However, DXM only sources were much better in the quality of the trip. In the future, find DXM only containing routes, the trip will be more enjoyable that way. Have fun :)

That is true, large amounts of guaifenesin will make you puke, however, in my experience, by the time I got nauseous, I was so high that the act of puking was a non issue. Was more like, hmm, tummy feels funny, BARFF, ok, now what? Never intruded on the trip in the least bit. To each his own though, YMMV.

Many DXM Hbr containing syrups do not have any alcohol in them. The only one that I can think of off the top of my head that does have alcohol in it is NyQuil (and no way in hell should anyone ever use NyQuil to trip with, the APAP in it is harmful at those doses).
 
Who has tried the new Neo Citran thin strips? It's a dxm only product with 15mg DXM.HBr per strip ...

For some reason it doesn't kick in till way too late.. I'm talking two/two and half hours. The way I tried was stack a bunch of them up, fold them and swallow with some water.. felt like it was effecting me way too long afterwards too.
 
maybe they are the polysterix (sp?) compound, like in delsym. Just a guess, that stuff took 2 1/2 hours to kick in for me, and it lasted a long time afterwards.
 
k the strips list amberlite resin as a non-medical ingredient... basicaly that's polycrilex, so shit, nice guess.

i think the polystirex (sp?) is kinda nice tho. I figured it's more euphoric and gentle, i don't know...
 
I guess it kinda ticked me off that it took two hours to get working.
What you call gentle, I call stretched out, and I actually like the way normal-dxm hits and you're pretty dxm-tarded for the first two-three hours. Reminds me of K. I haven't tried larger doses of the strips probably because I don't really like the time loops and massive wtf-ness that leaves you kind of... non-euphoric, just gone- state you get into after the 6th or so hour.
I really feel after effects, and I doubt I can even find the 12 hours the polystirex needs. Eight is long enough. An hour is even better(talking about K) ;)

I think F&B posted a possible method of exchanging the bound dxm for sodium in the polymer some time ago. Might just give it a twirl, doesn't even need organic solvents.

I recently did the sucret extraction and dosed about 500mg of powder (parachuted) and it took about an hour to kick in but the trip went basically no where....jsut wondering if i didnt take enough or should i try a different method of extraction?
