Could be... I started from a tiny dose and increased them over a few weeks, but had no interest in pushing it beyond the lobotomised quadraplegic type doses. Maybe that was the edge of totally different next-level experience, but it felt enough like borderline general anaesthesia to scare me off.

On the other hand I've never taken enough k to know what fully dissociated or bordering on it feels like, so maybe I was just being overly cautious. I wish I'd written down the doses, but they weren't massive, nothing over 500mg I think and pretty sure 350mg or so was the most fun.
 
It has plateaus, but they intermingle. Never found 1st, always hit 2nd or 3rd.
After a while I could see in predator vision but couldn't move. Tried it a bunch of times back in 05/06. There is a low amount that is said by many to be a great sleep aid. Personally I've always taken around 400mg and it has multiple effects depending on the time frame. And then at some point I sleep for 14 hours straight.

I remember Shambles saying it was shit last year, and now he owns up to never trying it....or have you done the "robotripe" version?
Apart from DXM online there is somewhere that sells medicine very cheaply and it goes down far better and is twice as strong as robotripe.

If people in this country knew what 400mg could do to them, more would try it.
The only reason we know about it this century over on t'british isles is the webz.
The US started putting it in cough medicine in the 60's as a replacement for codiene, but the droogies still drank it like water....eventually its use filtered from hippies to teens and they posted online and people such as I went aroving.

Anyway K is better obviously....on every level. But its not in a high street retailer near you.
 
I can't believe I would've said I tried it when I haven't, BB. Would certainly have said it appears to be shite and why bother when we have K cos I got through a fuckload of K last year and couldn't see why anyone would opt for a "lesser" version. I'm usually pretty careful to make it clear if I don't have direct experience of something but if I didn't there then consider my wrists firmly slapped :o

From what I've read (not experienced - just read ;)) 400mg is pretty much the boundary between 2nd and 3rd plateaus for most, no? Or maybe just 3rd. Can never remember what they are. 300-450mg or so seems to be the favoured zone for the majority other than the hardcore Dexxers.
 
DXM changes into DXO which is actually the psychedelic variant. Its all to do with the same stuff that means you either get high off 240mg codiene or fuck all happens.
Anyway grapefruit greatly potentiates the change in liver from DXM to DXO and things can get FAR out.
Hell I barely touch illegal drugs because it involves interaction with arses every time, so anything thats loophole is inviting.
I wouldn't want to know what a 5th plateau was like......could last 12 hours on Mars or 12 hours in a Hieronymus Bosch painting, but I believe most would be highly unnerved...especially if you're a 13 year trailer park dude on his first robotripe!

You did say it was shit, but no more.....but it looked like you had the experience to back it up.
Anyway its supposed to be a drug of thirds, eg 1 third hate it, 1 third don't give a fuck if they never touch again, and 1 third love it. But most people don't try it so they don't get to find out.
 
I had the hydrobromide salt brokenbrain, its been sat for almost a year in the same place as some salvia extract without being touched, which gives some indication of how much urge to take the stuff I guess.

Tempted to give it a whirl though after remembering all the sillyness

TJF going Robo-Tripping (er Benylin -Tripping doesn't have the same ring to it)

After waking up at a disgustingly early time and the prospect of having to wait so many hours till my friends could come home from work to play, I decided to do something useful with my time.

I thought about the telegraph writer who took mephedrone so he could write a story on it. Then I suddenly noticed the two bottles of Benelyn Dry Cough I'd been ignoring. Then it hit me - I have fun, help humanity and all for free!

Before another could enter my cortex i diluted the bottles in a glass with a bit of water and down the hatch in one. I don't mind the taste really. Reminds me of dodgy energy drinks.

So to get the facts out the way that's 500mg DXM (5mg/kg). Should give me a mid second plateau experience. I'm only taking this much this because I tried one bottle last time and that did jack.

I don't know if this is gonna turn into a trip report or anything lets just see how it goes.

9:00 - Glugged the liquid.

10:00 - Don't feel much difference apart from a craving for weed. Maybe slight euphoria and visual disturbances.

11:18- Walked to shops. Nature was bright and sparkly colourful. Had a conversation with the Muslim owner about which wine he recommended, so personal interaction seems to go ok. (I Thought Muslims didn't drink anyway, or maybe only the strict ones really stick to it). Monitor seems to have gone slightly convex since i got back. Maybe threre's still some fun to come...

Is today's Robitussin Dry Cough Medicine the same as I remember from childhood?

The old robitussin was straight to drink DXM mixture :) Today's R still has DXM as a main ingredient but I once heard that they added something to it that makes it a health hazard when used recreationally... What's the truth?
 
has anyone mixed dxm with stims??
i had some pretty effects with mdpv and dxm,.. haven't the foggiest idea how much i had but i remember danced in my mates bedroom to Abba... that is and was so wrong..

Benylin dry cough non-drowsy was frequently explored by me when I was 17 or so, so much so that the pharmacist in Boots refused to serve me it anymore after my excuse of 'It's for my mother' became worn out. Lame though it was, I quite enjoyed it. 3-4 bottles was my usual dose, taking me to a state of quasi-drunkenness with added itching, slight changes in visual field and decreased ability to form a coherent sentence. I would do it again, but only if very, very desperate. Ketamine is better.

More dopaminergic stims (speed, peevee, coke stylee) arent too dodgy to combine but serotonin stuff is less wise - especially with MDMA which is often lethal. Serotonin Syndrome isnt worth the risk. And from leftfield, tramadol would be a no-no too. Probably other stuff I can´t think of but basically DXM + serotonergeosity = Serotonin Syndrome which is not so great :|

dxm is somethin i haven't really researched all that much and may not have looked in to again even if i was going to do it, so cheers :)

toluene ime is horrible for extractions, never tried with dxm but its always left strange residues when its evapourated, where can one get clean [pure] toluene in the uk/
 
What to buy to get a DXM high in the UK?

I've got no idea what I can get with DXM without a prescription, it would be great if there were some tablets I could get.
Please help.

I believe Benylin dry coughs non-drowsy has DXM in. Not sure how much. I've only used it for an actual cough. The non-non-drowsy one (so the drowsy one) has diphenhydramine in it too, I assume to make it drowsy.
 
sorry for bumping old thread, but ive tried DXM in powdered form and quite enjoyed it, is it available OTC anywhere in the uk atm?
 
What price are you people paying on the gram for this stuff? I may try it, but the NMDA/tollerance thread seems like a much bigger plus :)
