Drugs that induce lucid dreaming

The first couple times i had a vivid and lucid dream I scared myself awake both times, like as soon as i realized I was dreaming I started freaking out and tried to "run away." But no matter how hard i tried to make myself run it was like i was stuck in "slow-motion mode" or something like that....really weird.. then i just woke up8(

the antideressant mirtazepine has a side effect of lucid dreaming. Ive tried it & it does infact give very lucid dreams. way more than an antipychotic that ive tried including seroquel & zyprexa.

yeah ive also heard that to much nicotine can cause lucid dreaming too. espesically the large dose patches.

im not sure if it was just a co-incodense but when I took diphenhydramine it kind of felt like i was dreaming even though i was only laying down & half asleep.

dxm gave me CEVs but that's not really consitered as dreaming is it. hmm but i could imagine if u take enough of the stuff it's gunna give ya a pretty weird night, being the strange drug that it is.

Is it weird that I always could lucid dream? Like I always knew I was dreaming and would control them. Because of that I could continue dreams from one day and on to the next.... I don't know pretty weird.

When i was taking GBL alot of the time i would go straight into REM sleep.. making my dreams very vivid.. It also made my dreams alot more life like.. They would directly be about things i had done that day or things i was thinking about..

After reading this thread I took Pantothenic acid 450mg (vitamin B5) right before going to bed and I had an extremely vivid dream before I woke up, it was long and confusing as fuck haha. I have been taking about 800mg of B5 every day for the past few months and have noticed that my dreams have been very vivid. But it really does exponentiate it when taken before bed.

Are vivid dreams and lucid dreams the same thing?

I thought lucid dreaming was being aware of the fact you were asleep and controlling it whereas vivid dreams were just had more 'depth' to them for lack of a better word...

but to the original question melatonin is supposed to help a bit, but I think practice is key to having them, just stick at it :).

if i take enough Piracetam with omega 3 and ginkgo i have some really deep vivid dreams, some of them have been lucid,

I take melatonin just for this reason, it is awesome.

Etizolam gives some crazy ones as well as that sleep after days on a stim when your body gives up!

The king of crazy dreams has to be high doses of GHB though! Totally fucking mental, I loved it!

edit: I do take piracetam each day as well which does also seem to make dreams more vivid and memorable

For me, LSD has triggered lucid dreams, especially when in combination with mdma - I never used to get them before I started taking this drug. They don't just happen randomly, usually when I'm falling to sleep if there's a slow flashing light in the room or something similar they tend to happen or if I'm feeling ill/worried about something they tend to come on. Usually accompanied by severe sleep-paralysis.. They're usually pretty unpleasant experiances.

@schpongle.. GBL is a pro-drug to GHB..

Highly addictive and withdrawals are fckin nasty.. so i don't recommend it xP

I've heard smoking weed every night before bed for a long time then suddenly stopping can trigger some really lucid/vivid dreams.

Agreed! Explains why I've been having some lucid, deep strange dreams past few nights, but I can't remember em by the end of the day though.. hah

nicotine patches. whenever i go to sleep with one on, my dreams are always far more vivid and realistic (tends to take the form of places I have just recently been or encounters of whatever sort), although they also tend to be more on the nightmarish side, for some reason. Oh, and two of the 4 lucid dreams i have ever had in my life were when I had these babies strapped on. Try it if you don't believe me!

^ Yeah i got the nightmare thing too (as did a friend of mine).. Wonder what that's about :/

I had my very first LD last night! I recently got a hold of some opana 30mg and snorted it... When I went to sleep 2 hours later, I immediately fell asleep and has the most amazing, vivid, controled dreams ever!!! I am looking forward to going back to bed now! Lol!

^ Yeah drugs that cause you to go straight into REM sleep will definitely aid the quest of achieving a lucid dream ;)

That's pretty much the idea of waking yourself up a few hours before you normally get up.. so you wake during a dream and go back to sleep and straight into a dream (because you're in REM mode)

LSD + MDA + weed. i slept for 24 hours after i came down and lucid dreamed the whole time...

also, i do agree with quitting weed. every time i quit for a few days, i love sleeping because of the dreams i get.

and actually, a few hours ago i decided to lay down and meditate. i think i fell asleep but i couldn't tell when i woke up an hour later. either way it was very weird and i could've sworn i was there. i woke up and immediately said wtf.

Bit of an old thread I know but I've been lucid dreaming a lot recently. I found the best drugs to lucid dream on are weed, ketamine and trenbolone (steroid). I also find you tend to lucid dream more if you don't take anything very often, I started smoking weed quite regularly last year and I was getting some crazy dreams almost full blown reality, and then it wore off. Personally I think trenbolone gives you the most intense dreams of all, I've had dreams that have made me call the ex girlfriend the next day and keep my mind f*cked up for a couple of days. I love it though ;)
