Drugs in the workplace (Merged)

I worked at Sharper Image...the place with all the cool gadgets and massage chairs. Anyways I started going a little overboard with my use but would on a regular basis come in on various opiates or benzos, do some coke in the bathroom, and one time did about 125mg of molly. The molly was too intense and I kept getting in trouble for sitting in the massage chairs and I couldnt wipe that big shit eating grin off my face. I ended up walking out on my shift to go enjoy myself outside with a friend.

opiates are awesome to go to work on. I'm energetic, social, time goes by, and its just overalll all good as long as im not nodding

i used to work in a day program with autistic/retarded adults and often would go to work high on a bit of dope or some oxys. sometimes would break up and sniff a pill in the bathroom. and several times bought dope with the company vehicle, with one ofthe clients in the car. really stupid, but i was hooked.

Used to work in a cafe/restaurant and whenever I wanted some blow, I'd just write down however much I wanted in terms of $$ (ie: $100) on an order slip and give it to the mexican cooks in the kitchen, like I would any normal food order. Then I'd meet up with one of them after my shift and get my sack, although a few times I had to give them a ride to go get it which was pretty fucking sketchy. Good times.

I used to work at a local animal shelter, and working with animals while on opiates is sweet. I also have used mj while working there, and that was a little bit more difficult to conceal.

I was a concreter but am now a carpenter and it's not unsual for me to come into work after a big Friday night still buzzing, isn't uncommon for me to have to sneak into the dunnies a few times for a bump on a Monday after a big weekend either. Does make the day fly past!

When I was younger I used to work in a supermarket. I used to get away with smoking buds beforehand and on my breaks.
you can do anything / come in on anything (minus hallucinogens) at a supermarket

from experience ;)

my first job (cook) everyone smoked and drank, occasionally took adderall.
second (cook) most people did D or OC and all smoked and drank. ome did benzos and adderalls.
third(current / cook) im the biggest drug addict at work. i make pod tea whenever my manager isn't there. everyone smokes and does pills. only 4 of us though and thursday we close
fourth is coming up next monday. dont know how they handle drugs but it is a restaurant and ill be a cook so im assuming some will be around

i'd say cooks are the biggest addicts in the workplace, but i wouldn't know because i've only been a cook my whole life. i tihnk i already posted in this thread saying the same thing too.

I work for Starbucks. I didn't smoke weed for 6 years, then I met a dealer at work. All I had to do was go to work to pick up, it was amazing.
I would say 75% of the people working in my store smoke weed on a regular basis and only a select few partake in other stuff.
But I agree with the food/hospitality industry being filled with people who get high. I also used to cater and everyone who did that drank and smoked all the freaking time. My best friend is a chef and her class is filled with potheads. It's actually pretty funny. I feel like you put up with so much shit from people when you work in that industry, it's so hard to not smoke.

Ya the food industry is nothing but people getting high. Ive got two best friends who went to culinary school graduated and are now working at a 5 star restaraunt and get high everyday. Not much more than weed but sometimes some coke and definitly lots of drinking

I'd agree with everyone that said the waiters and cooks etc... a lot of them do drugs to stay awake such as coke and meth. I believe cokes more abundant though in most places, but then again I don't know that for sure.
