Drugs in the workplace (Merged)

We should make it clear this thread is meant to describe our personal life as a working citizen, as well as the substances we take and enjoy in recreation. It is not however cool to do said substances on the job or during work. Some situations such as the restaurant business or retail type jobs may be circumstances you can get away with being slightly under the influence of drugs, but really when all is said and done, just save your hard earned drugs for when you can kick back and enjoy yourself in the comfort of your own home.

National account manager for a global corporation. I could not do my job under the influence of drugs. One mistake in a tender & it could be very costly to say the least not to mention potential personal liability if I recommend the incorrect product & there is an incident

I am partial to weed, benzos & weak-mild opiates. No stims for me as it is just too fiendish as I have demonstrated too often to count.

I function very well with the influence of heroin at work and whilst I went to School. While I was in college I managed to attain a 3.9 grade point average for 7 semesters in a row while sniffing 1-2 bundles a day. Then in my last semester at school I hit the elusive 4.0 gpa while being the only white person in my business program and managed to graduate number 2 in my class. Mind I was really motivated by all of the extra cash that came my way as a result to maintaining a high grade point average. Fast forward to now where I couldn't even function if I had my dope or not. I think it was due to the fact that I moved on to buying ounces of of H all the while sniffing because the thought of shooting it scared me to death. I was able to run a very profitable business with the main motivation of spending it all on heroin. On my last run I went through about 7K worth of product in about two weeks time although I have a partner who I share a addiction with. So it can be done but the end result will always be the same with the user ending up penniless and with no family or friends. Not to mention all of the business deals I have run into the ground by raping them financially by charging them the most money that I could. When in the long term I could of made long lasting business contacts with however I had the fucking devil dancing in my head telling me this will be the last score!

Also would like to add the fact that I sold nearly 100K of artwork that had been collected by my father all the while feeding my drug addiction. Sold two Warhol screenprint's and five signed/stamped Banksy's that were mine..... FML

Thanks for expanding on what I was attempting to say.

The sex Industry... some of the biggest ussers i have seen.
I work in a legal brothel. I've dabbled but the girls that do it go hard....
It's amazing how they maintain composure and seem to look good. some girls you wouldn't even suspect
are heavy users.

So yeah I know this is a massive no-no if you're in a position where safety and responsibility is called to account. BUT imho some jobs allow, if not encourage it.

When I was first a college student I was doing barwork and managed to get a gig at this gay bar here in Australia (I obviously won't say the name). Basically I was originally completely naive as to the actual depth of drug use in such an establishment. I thought it was just a few patrons taking ecstacy, boy was I in for a surprise.

It really started after a couple of weeks I had been there, the manager called me into his office, and started going *off* at me. He accused me of taking speed during my shifts, but I genuinelly hadn't, I had been completely sober. I tried to explain that I only took drugs recreationally and wouldn't ever do them on a shift, he didn't want a bar of it and told me to get out.

I was really put-down by the experience because I was (for once) innocent. BUT after another couple of weeks being there and realizing *everyone* took speed on their shifts and were quite open about drug use, it suddenly dawned on me. The manager KNEW I hadn't taken drugs, but he was testing to see what my opinion of them was, because if I was to stay on, it's important not to have some anti-drug rat on the team. I realised it was a complete charade, lol.

So from then on I would do lines in the toilets during the shift, and my girlfriend would always hand me a pill over the bar. BUT then one night I rocked up and there was a large punch bowl behind the bar due to a private party. I asked a fellow bartender "hey whats in the punch" as I wanted to know incase a patron asked. He said flat-out: "vodka, juice, ecstacy, LSD." I laughed as I thought he was joking. BUT then the first customer I had was a woman who said: "hmmmm I'm not really feeling much like LSD tonight, I'll just have a vodka orange." It was then I realized this wasn't a joke, we were literall giving patrons acid.

To test this theory I decided to drink some of the punch myself (we were allowed to drink whatever we wanted on the job), and about 20 minutes later fractals were flying everywhere.

I sadly eventually had to quit as my speed use was too epic and weighed pretty much nothing.

So in conclusion, getting paid to get high is awesome. And the gay community is fucking nuts, but awesome :D

Anyone else partake in treats during work??

I'm sorry alot of that sound like COMPLETE bullshit. They put LSD and X in punch and served it to patrons? Wow, I can't believe noone else called this out.

Hi, may I ask a noob question here?

I bought some GHB and intend to use it for social events where also my co-workers and boss are present to overcome my social anxiety.
But I heard that its extremely dangerous to consume with alcohol.
So how can I refuse to drink any alcohol which is usually part of these events, without raising suspicions that I am high on something....?

I haven't even tried my GHB yet, maybe it's easy to pretend to be "normal" with it, because you supposedly stay more clear-headed compared to alcohol, any comments on that? Have you ever used it during a job interview or something important??

As a teenager I worked at a sports bar as a busser/delivery driver/server. I would regularly buy/sell pot with the manager, we'd smoke in the restaurant after hours, and we were allowed to drink the craft beers, despite the fact that we were underage. The head chef was a meth-head, so I'd regularly trade my cocaine for his meth. I would drive around delivering pizza while cutting lines on the road, rolling joints etc. I worked at the place for years, it was absolutely saturated with drugs. I finally got fired when my OxyContin addiction got out of control. Couldn't go to work sick, had to cop first, which wound up taking much longer than expected, was an hour late to work and got fired.

Worked at a coffee shop a while later, was using Heroin regularly. Got molested by my female boss at a party. I decided to go into her bedroom and fix in the bathroom, when I was done the bed looked more inviting than the party. I woke up to her naked on top of me trying to jack me off. I lost the job because I rejected her advances (attacks), and she knew I was on Heroin so she had the dirt on me.

By the time I got my next job I was on Methadone, though I would skip the MMT occasionally to use smack, and I eventually got fired for excessive benzo abuse. Was eventually rehired when I got my shit together.

Years later I was working at a liquor store, still on Methadone, and chasing that heroin high by dosing benzos on top of my MMT. Got canned for stealing booze to support my habit.

Then I started at another coffee shop and things were going great, until I overdid it with the benzos again.

I no longer use any drug at all at my current job, besides the Suboxone I am prescribed.

Simple answer to your question my friend. Try the GHB before the party so you know what you're dealing with. Then you'll know how to properly dose yourself before the event. And you should never feel guilty or have to make up an excuse for not drinking.

Worked as a waiter. It was filled with weak to strong opiates, benzo, coke, meth, heroin, MDMA, and cannabis users along with your alcoholics. The 4 things you'll see or experience when you're waiting tables are sex, drugs/alcohol, money, and stress.

Yeah man, you see a lot of shit working in bars. Fuck going to the streets to cop when your dealers out. Hit the local dive. And yeah, I did once see a guy fingering some chick at a table during the middle of their meal. Fucked up thing was the woman's kid was sitting right across from them at the table. I sure hope the kid was oblivious, cause that's just plain fucked.

Haha, damn. I'm thinking either his balls dropped early or developed childhood trauma. Man, some customers really have no decency though.

Yeah, it's like some people have never been introduced to the concept of dignity. Once a drunk fucker (and I could go on and on with stories of this perv) wrote a note on a napkin to the bartender saying, "T****** are you ready for some big dick?" When she reported it to the owners and said she wanted him banned because he scared her they said no way, he spends way too much money here, have somebody walk you out to your car if you have a problem!!!

Oh yeah, drunk aggressive/horny men are freaking unpredictable. That's fucked though, she was pretty much sexually harassed. It's sad how the owners care more about the money than the safety of an employee. A similar story of another chick I knew that worked behind the bar. She would refuse to leave the bar, in fear that the guy that was talking to her was going to grab her. The guy did not understand the concept of personal space.

My line of work follows the 80-20 rule when it comes to drugs. 80% of doctors would be fucking gobsmacked if they found out what the other 20% regularly put in their brains in the name of fun or enhancement.

i work in schools for most of the year which involves not showing up blasted

but for now i tend to a park and showing up after a spliff is almost routine now. i also burn it up with friends who sometime stop by during the last hour or so, otherwise it's just the pre-work blaze.

I work as a line cook in a fairly upscale pub in a very wealthy part of the US (I'm broke as shit for the record). Something that confounds me to this day is that the majority of people that work there are not drug addicts. When I think kitchens and restuarants in general I think drugs. Not always so. When I first started working there I just assumed these were high-functioning addicts that keep personal and work life separate. Much to my surprise\disappointment this was not the case. I don't understand it but it seems like either a restaurant is saturated with drugs or totally devoid of drug use.

I blaze before work and sometimes take kratom. My coworkers have not seen me not-stoned so they don't really know the difference. Occasionally someone will ask if I'm tired but that's about it.

Yea just about every kitchen ive ever worked, everyone used something to cope. As much as i enjoy cooking, i no longger even consider myself as even possible of working in a kitchen anymore even though i was pretty good at what i did and might even have been able to make decent loot. Lots of coke and aderal and of course lots of booze, not beer but hard liquor. And surprisingly only a few ppl there, least at the one place, used opiates. I was one of the few. I guess the common practice was to be jacked up, i couldnt get it bc you dont want to be even hotter in an already hot kitchen getting sweat everywhere.

I'm not in any way proud that I've used drugs at work. But I've used a few stimulants; amphetamine (the "European" speed, which is more functional and less tweaky than meth), Methiopropamine and Ethylphenidate. All are quite functional in moderates doses and the untrained eye would never suspect that I'd taken anything.
