Drugs in the workplace (Merged)

Telemarketing. Bill collections. Any phone work that isn't with a larger company...they're all on something.

I wouldn't even go to my telemarketing jobs w/ out some weed and a handfull of perscription uppers/painkillers. The work isn't even tolerable sober.

I know a lot of people that work at fancy restaurants who smoke meth at work.

+1 on the pizza place.

My first job was at a pizza place and it completely corrupted me. I probably wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't have worked there.

my friend used to work at our subway, and everyone always smoked in the back. and i know the manager that work at the sonic here who goes in the bathrooms and hits the blow all the time..and theyll just crack the back door open and smoke.

Pizza places. Yes. Private contruction outfits. Bookstores. Anything really monotinous and where the demands aren't exactly that high. Or are they. Hahaha.

I knew a drug rehab counselor who forbid his clients to be telemarketers because he said it could bring them back to using. Especially opiate users--I can see why too, get paid to talk on the phone and hustle while your high.

My only job was tech support so I never did drugs while on the job. Anything where you deal with the public in a complex way is a bad time to do drugs. Unless you're in sales.

Sas Glas........old place where i have workted a lot of people on heroin and crack there, i use to work together with the dealer haha it was funny man he was nodding out next to mt while talking and shit ....i always smoked joints before at and afther work at that age ,high as a kith al day long .....i didn't like to work there but now that i tfink of it i was pretty fun

I used to work at a factory that made printing press parts.....on ANY given day, I could score: Coke/Crack, Heroin, Oxycontin, Clonazepam/Xanax, and Weed......

and that was just in my department!!!!!! :)

One more vote for pizza.

All the pizza places I've worked not only had an abundance of drug activity, but one in particular had also every other form of deviance imaginable: theft, gambling, gang activity (all kinds gangbanger, skinheads), guns, violence. The police were down there once a week miniumum and the entire place got shut down and everyone fired after the owner installed hidden cameras...

I disagree. I'm a reporter now, and I've done more than a few after hours interviews drunk. That isn't even the public, either, that's people like politicians and public officials (including cops).
