Drugs & Gaming

insurgency makes csgo feel like an arcade game.

That update to the franchise did feel a bit arcade like anyway compared to CS 1.x or Condition Zero. Hit boxes seemed a bit strange... it was a great game, but times change. Much prefer CoDMW2 online on consoles in more recent times.

Insurgency really does sound rather sick though. :D

get the xbox one guy who needed convincing ^ somewhere. join the elite. tho i might be a abit biased as im an xbox fanboy. Wish i had a gaming pc played CS GO on 360 tho wasnt all that impressed by it. i really enjoyed mw2 too, might play a bit of AW tho its got boring quick the spawns r fucked, so fed up of getting shot in the back every minute

I've owned a Silver PS2, PS3 & soon a white PS4 in my time... very much a PS fanboy. ;)

I did regularly play a 360, which friends owned though... but it didn't measure up. I'm sure the Xbox One is great, but I doubt I'll ever switch purely because of the Gran Turismo franchise. Plus there are some of the old FF games on PSN. Not sure if you can get those on Xbox even if they are releasing new FF games on it now.

i thiknk the psn is better for free and discount games, but yeah i supose it comes down too what exclusive games u want xboxs or PSs

Used to have a 360 and sold it because of the noise the disc makes when spinning up, such a racket

Bttlefield 4 multiplayer is fucking brilliant, i just need to stop getting killed so many times by fucking snipers

CSGO is good in terms of being able to trade weapons on the market and stuff, a lot of old cs'ers did complain about the new physics but I think they have ironed out a lot of the problems now. The desert eagle can still kill people with one shot again.

I need to play more competitive mode csgo.

I haven't played CoD or Battlefield atall.

No idea how people can play FPS games on consoles, it would drive me mad. CSGO is the reason why I ended up spending 50 quid on a mouse.

Its fine when you get used to it, got pretty good and COD MW/2 and BF2 on the ps3

Yeah it's different but a lot of fun, can get quite efficient at killing people on CODMW2/3 when you get the hang of it on team maps. I always hated FFA matches, not as much skill.

Reflex shots FTW... ;) !!!11

I'd like to get back into gaming, and the 3DS appeals to me because Pokemon doesn't require much hand-eye coordination so is good for me. But when did low-end Nintendo handhelds get this expensive?

Seems to me there are 2 prices... a standard 3DS & a 3DS XL which seems ridiculously priced.

Who here has a PS4?...

... Not currently decided on COD: Advanced Warfare yet. I was a real fan of CODMW2/3 on the PS3... especially the Special Ops mode... does it have anything similar?

Just bumping my question, which no doubt got lost in all that. :D

AWs meh imo, it does have coop exo survival. a mw3 spec ops copy but to me it feels cheap and nasty. Im not overly impressed with it, next year will be a different story when treyarc make cod tho, there zombies coop mode is the shit and there mp is better

I have a PS4. Currently playing Far Cry 4, which is quite entertaining, but also bastard hard (I suck at games though, despite making them for a living).

Before that I played Last of Us Remastered (after owning the PS3 version but for some reason not playing it for 12 months). One of the best games I've played in years, stunning character art, good story and intelligent level design. Environments start off ropey but get better and better. It's probably the best PS4 exclusive out there so definitely play it if you haven't (probably don't bother if you played the PS3 version though, it's not that different, probably just 1080p rather than 720p).

Other than that there are a pretty disappointing range of PS4 exclusives at the moment, almost wish I'd bought an xbone, I could be playing Sunset Overdrive right now. Gotta remain loyal to the brand though, don't bite the hand that feeds me etc. Might pick up Little Big Planet 3 next week :)

I never got into Far Cry... I have a copy of Far Cry 3 somewhere for my PC... god knows where it is. I never got far in.

As for The Last of Us Remastered, yes it's 1080p plus the frame rate has a 60fps option as opposed to the 30fps it ran on the PS3. Meant to make gunfights smoother. Got my d/l code for it earlier on today & apparently my PS4 is coming tomorrow not Tuesday. =D

Considering I play no games unless with mates or the random occasions I fire up emulators to play gamecube wii or snes games on my macbook pro (rare) I mostly get all my news and content from youtube reviews and playthroughs. I don't have the money for a console at the moment. I have half life 2 and an xbox controller also paid for walking dead series 1 which I completed.

Anyways... I'm incredibly lazy and playing anything at all is rare these days. For some reason I take more pleasure in watching other people play and their impressions. Having said that I consider myself fairly up to date with whats out, coming out etc etc. It's one of the main things I watch on various youtube channels.

I think I'm just incredibly lazy which needs to change to be honest! Watching others have fun is a bit sad when you think about it.

Smash bros wii u, assassins creed black flag, far cry 3 and 4 (seem very similar) alien isolation (bit long and repetitive/backtracking but captures the first films atmosphere very well) and gta 5 all seemed to be good. New sonic boom sucks ass, and new assassins creed glitchy as hell it seems. Wii u doing terrible which is sad, but it has same problem as the virtual boy did. Nintendo haven't learned it seems :( One of my favourite game companies, so it saddens me a bit, especially after the wii's success.

So, during my substance use last night I had the great idea of buying Call of Duty: Ghosts. It's great fun, just getting into the multiplayer but god, why do I have to suck so bad. Will take me a while to get my standard back up to something half respectable. (aiming with controllers never was my strong suit, more used to ye olde mouse for that)
