Drugs And Parents [MEGA-MERGED]

I've tripped on acid and shrooms a few times with my dad before, and smoked him out nummerous times. :D But he's NEVER even brought up the "harder" stuff with me (opiates, cocaine, meth, etc.) other than to just stay away from them. Even though I've tried out all of those other drugs, I don't think I'd even talk about it with him. It's just kind of taboo for us, you know? Especially when my mom's a big cokehead/methadone junkie. :/

Everyone quit saying take the Cyclobenzaprines! They suck ass. I've tried 'em. IMO No rec.. value really, they just knock me out and slur my words if I take a few more than I should.
 
I'm not saying I never steal, but it is usually NOT an okay thing to do.

In addition,
My mom and I were hippies.
I smoked joints with her from when I was 9yrs old ( just a few tokes )
to 12 yrs old ( by then more tokes )
((then I Quit on my own LOL))
I smoked Opium with a hippy pal of hers when I was 9 or 10
and I drank Peyote tea at a giant hippy party when I was 9 or 10.

In a way, tho I love drugs, I kinda wish I'd had an ANTI-drug parent
so I maight have a bit more fear about going full force into drug use all th time

I know THAT doesnt always work either, BUT what your DAD did wont help you as a person way down the raod ...WILL it ? am i missing something here ???? if you get to be 42 and you are using drugs wisely , fine, but if you turn total fucked up junky, wont you look back on this as kindling for your unwanted "fire"? Parental figures have even more power over the shaping of who we are then even your average fully informed Freudian would assert. ahhh..IMHO anyway.
 
Geesh the amount of dysfunctional family nazis on this thread!! My folks are very cool, but I guess cos they are now getting older. They know my styles and ways 100%, they know when its a good time to call me, when not to catch up with me (unless emergency of course). And are very understanding of how I interact with them etc. Of course the teenage years were the worst, but we live and learn. Your step dad sounds like a great guy, to be able to say he wont say anything to your mother, is also giving you the trust and bond of a guardian. No different to you going to a psychiatrist in confidence. Your gonna get along fine as time goes by!. It also means that he has experience and cares, without turning a blind eye. As for stealing the pills, you damn scumbag junkie filth!!Just kidding of course!! thought ill add my 5c worth, since thats what the thread trend ended up turning to.

yes, moms cool... she smokes me out everyday, buys me beer a couple times a week (out of her money, and im underage), and she occasionaly gives me a free benzo :)

shes also and has always been a very good mother.
 
A couple of years back my father mentioned to me that he wished that he would have tried LSD back when he was younger, as he sees now that it's not nearly as harmful as "they" said it was back in the 60's & 70's. I asked him if he wanted me to buy him some the next time I encountered any, and he very enthusiastically said "YES!".
 
yeah your stepdads cool man. i wish i had a relative that would toss me some opiates every now and again. a friend of mines relative sells us percs and oxys sometimes but never lets us really have all of what we want. i guess thats her way of "controlling" our usage lol.

EDIT:my parents both use coke, and they use ecstasy occasionally. i showed them nitrous the other night... they LOVVVVED that!

dad occasionally does speed, when its offered, and he smokes as much pot as me.

At the moment - Alcohol, weed, coke, speed.

probably more when they were younger that I don't know about.
 
Dad: Alcohol, cigarettes, and pot (latter only during college)
Mom: Alcohol

And I think all my siblings have done psychedelics, ecstasy, coke, and pot... But it's not a blessing, we never got along.
 
Mom- former meth user, former nurse who stole dilaudid valium oxycontin and midazolam. All she uses now are her prescription klonopin

Dad - Former marijuana user , then he became a cop and now all he does is alcohol and once in a blue moon vicodin klonopin or xanax
