Drugs And Parents [MEGA-MERGED]

They know, but think I stopped 8( so I guess they don't know now
They actually saw my account on BL (stupid me left my comp. on). My dad was devastated, disappointed. Mom was scared for my health more than anything. They think I only used crystal meth, I guess from the pictures I had in my gallery back then. What they actually know is a tiny percentage of the story...
 
My family (parents,sister,grandparents,ect.) know that I "used" to do drugs and recently found me high on meth, which they think was DxM.

I don't even remember how they found out I did weed.

They later found out that I had done ecstacy and opiates (I spill it while I am high :(). They still do not know about the speed and god help me if they found out.

She always (I get caught a lot) crys and flips out. Its not very pretty but lately she has been turning a blind eye with weed, so that is pretty chill of her. ;)
 
If so, how did they find out? Mood swings, came home still stoned, came home still peaking, coke nose.

What substances do they think/know you use? Weed, pills, coke.

How do/did they handle the situation? Nothing. They were pissed off at first. Then they come to the realisation that everyone goes through these stages.

If i'm ever out and they call or I call, the only advice they offer is not to mix alcohol with drugs;) All my friends fucken piss themselves whenever I tell them that.

Ok...do you think it's ok for parents to smoke with their kids? A lot of people I know smoke with their kids/parents..and some people say that's being a bad parent or something, but I think it's perfectly ok....ok well i just wanted to see what anyone else thought
 
I will not let my son smoke weed until he is at least 16 simply because his brain is still developing and this is when the most physical and psychological damage can occur. After he is 18 i would definatly consider it, because i believe weed should be legal, and it is less harmful than alchohol it would be hypocritical of me to have a beer with him but not a smoke. I would also like to keep the communication lines open so that i could have a better influence in making sure what ever he does he does it safely.

I am concrete in my not before 16 rule however, and this will be made very clear to him.

I would NEVER EVER smoke with my parents. Not that they ever would, but even if they wanted to i wouldnt coz it would freak me out!
 
Ya, once the kid is 18-20, I think that he/she is old enough to smoke with their parents and in the house, if the parents smoke it as well, of course.
 
IMO 16 is too early as it's said to be the most essential time for brain development. If I were a parent I wouldn't be okay with my child using any sort of drug just b/c I'd want the best for him/her even if it means being a pain in the ass.

It's hypocritical of me since I started smoking when I was 15 and my Mom who worries about me using, and has every right to, started around the same age. Sorry for sounding like a square.
 
my parents know that i smoke weed, and have accepted the fact, so i would really love to smoke with them. i dont think my dad would ever do it, but i know my mom smoked weed when she was in college and she has asked me about weed related things (like amsterdam, street prices, etc) before, i think some day i will ask her if she wants to smoke with me.
 
Your realtionship with your parents changes a lot when you hit the age of about 19-20, so I think, if the child has his/her shit together, then the parent in question is doing fine. Parents smoking with younger teenage children is not on, though I wouldn't oppose parents supervising the activity. A mother of one of my friends used to allow us, when we were aboiut 14-15 to smoke in her garage, cos she thought we'd be safer, she could check on us and we wouldn't get in trouble with the police . . . also she was very traditionally Greek, so she also liked our ravenous hunger and bleary praise of her continuous food supplies . . . however, the kid in question is fucked up (police trouble) these days, so maybe she didn't do him any favours after all :)
 
My dad smoked and did alot of experimenting when he was a teenager so he's pretty chill when it comes to my using. I smoked with him once, when I was fifteen.

He was wasted and hadn't drank in years. :)
 
Man, I'd love to be able to smoke with my parents, a few of my friends parents smoke, yet they don't smoke with them, I don't get it. I mean they'd probably shout you some of their weed and it would bring you closer IMO, where's the bad? Also I'd smoke with my kid (don't actually have one seeing as though I'm 17, but I have a cat and I love to get him stoned) whenever I found out he was smoking, because no matter what I do htey're not going to stop. Whem my mom found out I smoked she freaked and had me drug tested, well lo and behold the next weekend I was bored with alcohol, someone offered me a pill, told me it wouldn't show up because it would be out of my system in time, which it was, and now I am in deep in the drug culture. And all this when all my mom had to do was let me keep smoking( mind you I fucking rocked my exams that term, because pills, coke, and speed make me a harder worker.
 
Yes, I'm quite certain if my any of my sons/daughters get into smoking marijuana I will talk to them about it (a lot) and I will definetly smoke with them once every long while.

As for smoking with my parents: 8)
 
slightly off-topic, one of my friends took his first pill with his mum at quite a young age (very liberal, hippy kinda family) and it seems like it bought them closer together.
my parents were always cool with me smoking because they smoke bud occasionaly anyway.
 
If I were to smoke with my (future) kid(s) it would depends on how my kid(s) grades / attitude was and his maturity factor given that he is older then 16.

I wonder how tripping with my kid(s) would be! Wow, I would love to do that :) Tripping with family is quite amazing and the bond is quite strong afterwards. The future is so interesting to think about.
 
I can't really say as i haven't got any children yet but i wouldn't want my child to get involved in drugs, it would all depend on how they were doing in other areas of their life.

any parents on here now?
 
I like smoking with my father but he doesnot like it much and he is 56 and he has high BP. He was a hippie when he was young but he says never likes it that much. He used to have problems with alcohol, he is not created for weed or other shit. My mom is a "totally sober" typed woman, never smoke with her.
 
I've no idea if my parents would smoke with me, I don't really like weed all that much anyways as much as I like it to potentiate opiates. My mom dosen't even drink coffee so she's out, though i've wondered about my dad--he's got red eyes a lot of the time, and is pretty goofy acting . I would smoke with him, if I got the chance.

As for kids I think I wouldn't until they were 18 till then, no drugs till 16 and then I would look the other way. Though still keep on eye on them to make sure their not doing anything that will screw up their brains too much or get into an addiction. High school is boring as fuck and as long as you keep your grades up it's the greatest time too fuck around and learn to do busy work while you goof off. Definately a place for drugs, I still regret I never went on any drugs to high school.
 
i wouldnt smoke weed with my kids at all or let them know i do (if i still do then which i doubt)

because seriously there is no use promoting it. if i found a bag of my kids or something i wouldnt really care but i wouldnt smoke with them (all thats gonna lead to is them smoking all the time, doing other drugs, etc because they think you wont care)
