Damn, that's crazy, I live in Khmer Kid's hometown, it's just a small city in Wisconsin. That song is the shit. Where do you live at and how did you hear about that song??
 
...i go to concerts for the music but i inevitably end up getting high too...

...i go to bars/raves with the purpouse of getting high, but i inevitably end up listening to good music too...
 
Sometimes the drugs are the main attraction and the music makes the drug experience, sometimes the music is and sometimes it's the company (occasionally it's even a combination of all of the above)
I never like to think that I'm only going out for the drugs. Most times when I do that, it ends as a mediocre night anyway and I've wasted my time, potentially my health certainly my money.
 
Which psychedelic for which music?

Anyone noticed different drugs affecting how you hear different types of music? Do you have a certain type of music for a certain drug?

Mine would go something like

Mescaline - Anything with distorted electric guitars

Ecstasy - Anything with toe-tapping rhythms.

DMT/MAOI - Makes everything sound like Gods house band playing in the Garden of Eden :D

Psilocybin/LSD - Classical, preferably string quartets.
 
i think dpt and the talking heads it's mind blowing, id like to listen to them with the audio distortion effects of dpt. mushrooms or any 4 position tryptamines are fun with any les claypool music. phenethylamines are good for floyd i think (meddle/echoes).
 
For me it's something like:

Pot - Blues, Classic Rock, Random Top 40

Coke - Progressive metal (e.g., Dream Theater)

Shrooms - Synthpop, darkwave, psytrance, any music with atmospheric sounds and a lot of sliders and knobs. Bonus points if they use monosynths and a didgeridoo. (I'd like to build a didgeridoo out of PVC pipe and spend a weekend camping in the woods with Ayahuasca!)

PEAs & Tryptamines - Techno, especially trance and psytrance.

LSD - The music of the spheres. Pre-recorded physics lectures. Operetta. Musicals.

As a guitarist I've also found that creating music is especially fun on most drugs. I come up with some really twisted shit playing guitar on psychedelics. I can definitely feel what Jimi was channeling. When I'm baseline I worry so much about melody and progression, but on psychedelics I seem to gain a better sense of the wholeness of the instrument, and realize that I can use the noise and dissonance of it as well. I can never seem to let go like that when I'm baseline.
 
for the most part, i just listen to whatever seems right at the time, usually trance on MDxA and indie/alternative rock on most other psyches.

as for specifics, i always found Radioheads Kid A perfect when tripping on shrooms. its great to put that album on as you begin to peak and just want to curl up intoa ball, everything IS in its right place.

i also always like to listen to Boards of Canada when tripping on dissociatives, it just seems to fit the headspace perfectly, as well as being somewhat nostalgic for me.
 
Any Goa psy-trance with LSD - preferably in a club/outside party.

Oral ketamine - has to be the Yeti project by Sphongle =D
 
DOI and Industrial techno seem to blend nicely for some reason. Shpongle and Infected mushroom etc. for tripping in general, just shit with cool/weird noises.
 
favorite upper music

what kind of music do you get into the most while on any kind of upper? im talking about adderall/methylphenidate or what ever really. i dont know whats wrong with me its hard for me too get into alot of good music while on uppers. especially methylphenidate.
