I tried playing my sax when stoned once. The dry mouth was killer though and I couldn't really do anything constructive! Was a shame because a friend and I had the whole day planned out, get really baked then jam for hours:o.

Another vote for Shpongle. There's a song called "Behind Closed Eyelids" that has destroyed me on quite a few occasions.

For more of an ambient, organic, but still groove oriented journey, try Karsh Kale.

Also, for some laid back retro sounding psychedelic rock that has nothing to do with dance or trance music, try Band of Bees - Sunshine Hit Me.

P-FUNK!!!!

Man, ive had a whole trip to the soundtrack of parliament/funkadelic and it BLOWS ME AWAY.

There is a lot of songs that they have that are great for it but one i would recommend in particular is Bop Gun. Theres a part at the end (its like a 8 minute song) where it just starts to build up and build up and build up then its this whole chorus of funk tastic gospel singing and the synthesizer and bass and everything just HITS you, its amazin its like a religious experience when youre on acid.

I would reccomend it
 
Defenitely a vote here for Shpongle and Pink Floyd. However sometimes i like really dark, tribal kinda music.

At the moment my favourite trip music is Satoshi Tomiie who is part of the Global Underground crew. Download one of his sets, and you will see its perfect for tripping.

Also Jimmy Van M, and James Holden have some really dark and intense beats that you may enjoy.
 
The group is 'autechre', the track I think is called 'gantz graf, with video clip on nice TV and sound system will totally fuck you up! The visuals are influenced by music, and the music itself defies genre, similar to Aphex Twin or squarepusher, but much, much more crazy noisy madness.
 
doesnt really make me loose it, but anything by bob marley gets me moving around like a dog with relay battons for furr :D
 
Favorite music to listen to while tripping

Cat Stevens brought me to tears on 2 strong hits of LSD, by "Wild World" and "Peace Train."

It was absolutely amazing, no other song(s) have done that to me.

What's your personal favorite? Any special meanings behind it?

Dragonforce and Beethoven, possibly trans-siberian orchastra. Moonlight sonata is always a personal favorate.

The MUSE album Origin of Symetry is the best alblum by far to listen to when trippin, its electro britrock and i think i must have ingrained it into my brain while tripping because now the music feels part of me whenever i listen to it

Said it before, say it again, I hate all that hippie shit, i think i might be the only person who like to listen to rap on acid, but screwed shit like swishahouse (not paul wall and etc, the old school shit they used to do years back before they blew up was pretty sick)

But man, the best will ALWAYS be good old George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic
 
same music i listen to sober. sux when i trip with people they usually dont let me break out the metal (metal is extremely complex and intellectual music and is fucking perfect for tripping imo). which sux. so mostly i just listen to psytrance/ambient/downtempo/jungle/breaks cuz those are all things pretty much all my friends and i agree on.

really only thing i cant stand listening to tripping is top 40sish hip hop and the way too overplayed stereotypical tripping music like classic rock and shit.
