Drug use falls but laughing gas trend revealed

I always found nitrous very non-moreish on MDMA and other SRAs. Only with psychedelics does it have that sparkle, but even then I hate how it makes me care about nothing but getting more nitrous.
 
I'm 19 so I feel I qualify to converse on the state of drug use among youths.

Drug use is rising sharply, "illegal drug use" is an entirely different story. 2008-2010 why would anyone buy shitty 5% British coke, when they could get 2g of 100% pure Mephedrone for the same price, with no legal ramifications, delivered straight to their door by the trusted Royal Drug Couriers?
Has anyone ever actually answered a drug survey honestly? "Give us your name, address, and whether you use or possess any illegal drugs, just for the sake of this survey".
I can be rattling like fuck, or have a shit-ton of drugs on my person and still spout the "Oh, no, I'd never ever use drugs!".

"Silly-string-Matty" the species can be found in the depths of the festival campsite, just about dodging every tent string in sight like some sort of ropey modern day shamanic ritual.
 
I don't know how people can be dissing nitrous. Yeah, the buzz is only for like a minute but the buzz is quality. It also compliments every other drug, especially psychedelics and dissociatives. Have a double charger on a proper psychedelic and the next minute or 2 are about to get very intense. A weekend at a festival wouldn't be the same without lugging along 200 nos or so.

Can't find anywhere where it mentions how many people were actually asked, and whether or not it was in certain areas.

Headline may as well read: "Young adults less likely to admit illegal drug use, but know noz is legal" or "Drug users may or may not increasingly turn to legal drugs (or drugs we didn't bother asking about) as we only added salvia and noz to our question list"

That's an absolute art-form, especially when you're off your tits, and it's proper dark. I've fallen over so many guide ropes, and I'm not usually a clumsy person.

Nitrous is great, even on its own. Got to try it in the hospital, when my son was being born, and had it on pills. It's lovely on MDMA...
 
ahaha an artform indeed. He got that nick name from the last festival we were at. Most of us were tripping on acid and watching Matty do consecutive balloons and making the most amusing shapes. The intense sound of the cracking of balloons followed by the funny way he moved made for the perfect description "silly-string-matt" which had us all in stitches. I havnt had nos since then and would feel kinda weird going in to the cookery shop to buy some. In saying that though, all this talk of nos makes me want to go buy some.
 
I didn't know you could actually get it from any shops. Thought it was all online. Not that I'm asking, of course. ;)
 
I was actually looking for nitrous oxide recently.... I can see that drug getting more and more popular every year!
 
Oddly, I have never, ever seen whippits sold on the high street for whipping cream. Only ever from the HIGH st.

I.e the head shops.

Anybody happen to know what the denaturant is in automotive nitrous tanks? (I assume there IS one, as of course, we can't have people huffing it for health and safety reasons, so we make sure that it will poison anybody tryimg)

-bit of a tangent, but does anyone else reckon any denaturing of any such potential intoxicants for ANY reason should be a criminal offense?
Things like adding methanol to EtOH to denature it so it will not be ingested by evil tax-avoiders for instance....they haven't paid the tax, and are probably a desperate alky wino bum with all the real world job prospects of david cameron's skidmarked pampers...so lets make sure it kills or permanently blinds the tax evading bastards, no?

Denaturing something with say, bitrex, dye and something nasty tasting is one thing, its still wrong to tax booze at the thieving, punitive levels it is, but adding a virulent poison that either kills or permanently blinds its victims, and in and of itself has NO warning properties...how the FUCK is that legal.
 
denaturing substances which have abuse potential is acceptable by me Limpet_chicken. Then again, I'm not into searching hardware stores for something to get high on, so I guess I might have a different perspective.
 
Historically sulphur dioxide has been used. It is quite toxic but also chokingly unpleasant to inhale.
 
limpt_chicken: bear in mind that is in there so people can smell an otherwise odourless gas that might asphyxiate them, and not to stop kids huffing it....
 
If laughing gas is the current go-to drug of a generation we may as well give up now. Is it a reflection of the times? I hope not. Saying this it does fantastic things to a head swimming with psychedelics, I just can't understand any hype for doing it on it's lonesome.
