Had some of that fail a while back, it seems to be all I can get these days.

The Spades retox (Copywright TheKid) and subsequent greeting about comedowns / feeling shite coming to a message board near you soon.

Hahaha, are you trying to see you are going to get munted sometime soon?

The Spade has plans afoot alright. He's been turned off by the Mephedrone thread and partially turned on by the Methylone thread. And has posted about 1000 times about how he lost the magic of pills/MDMA years ago and all it makes him do these days is sit there half asleep. But 2C-B is his favourite drug.
It is possible he may go on one with the methylone with potential for Iron Crosses with a side order of 2C-B and much alcohol.
And we will then get the pain, misery and suffering thread going on come the Sunday,no 2 ways about it.And then it will be back on the Xanax for 6 months thereafter until the next break with real drugs arrives.
Can't say I blame him.

I find your posts hard to read. That's probably a product of the small amount of ketamine in my system.

My it's been busy in here 8) :D

Almost abandoned the sabbatical due to sabbaticals from sabbatical there. :|

binge>purge>binge>purge

excess in moderation!

Aye, a variation of the above quotes has gone on. Not quite a complete disaster and failure... I don't touch "fail" - tis bad stuff ;) so going to give myself a gold star for not being totally fucked out of my face everyday. Something at least eh :\

I went in with the intention of stopping for a month and it didnae happen. But doing this has made me notice things about my behaviour and patterns.

Like once I start I find it hard to stop. It appears that I go on for about 4-5 days, or until I run out of stuff. I don't rationally make the decision to do that - at all!.... I can't keep stuff at home. Piggery. 8) Learnt this one a long time ago, to keep it elsewhere, but to do that you must be rationally in control. :\ Hhmm... hard one.

Much happier with myself if I plan and do a proper binge - mixing that with a social setting and other people is more satisfying and fun. Definitely a healthier way to go! :D<3 What makes me feel bad is the sneaky, guilty little hide away binges. They're mostly downers but not always, whatever's about has to do .... and I always, always do this on my own. This is the area of my use that pisses me off the most :( It's also the most damaging to the RL stuff too.

My use of psychedelics (been once a month so far this year) is putting a fresh perspective on things and I can see a lot of potential there. The craving and the more, more thing just doesn't hit in with them. Am most post-satisfied. <3

So not too bad all round really. :)

Back on the sabbatical today - have woken up straight, will see how long I can spin it out for this time ;)

Fellow sabbaticalees keep up the good works <3

booze sabbatical broken last night and i feel much better for it

Feel alot better after this weekends abstinence, more mentally then anything. Could feel my speed use creeping back up on me again and just had to sort it out and show myself I can control it's use. Roll on next weekend for celebratory fuckedness =D:D!

i haven't had a drink (and certainly no drugs) for exactly three weeks. i should feel all superhuman and detoxed, but i don't. :\

hopefully this will end tonight.

^
Me too love! ... well ok maybe not :\

I have been straight most Thursdays :|=D;)

This thread should be renamed the Thursday Sabbatical Thread. <3

I have had 7 units of booze this last 7 days, Which is decent for me, I take smaller measures of 35ml :D

A Retox is probably on its way this weekend :! =D

I was planning a retox this weekend too but no ones sorted out any drugs yet.

Sorry for having missed any previous explanation, Spadey, but why the change from your 'I'll never touch drugs again' stance?

No "Supercoke"?

Would it be petty to dig out old posts by Spade saying he'll never touch drugs again???

I've decided sabbaticals are a bad idea! However I am going to ensure i have no more than than odd glass of wine midweek, and only 1 night larging it at the weekends. (Apart from stag do's, work trips and retox missions.....:))

Boredom.
Work driving me crazy.
Stupidity.
The need to do something 'exciting'.
Temptation.
Old times sake.
Insert other worthless excuses here.

I thought so ;)

Every now and again I think it might be an idea to have a day when I don't sup a pint or two and have a wee pipe of hash but the idea soon passes =D

Much the same here Fishy. I'm always thinking maybe I shouldn't drink cider every night but it tastes so damn good.

Who am I to deny myself that pleasure?

Just take it easy and all will be OK

I don't know how to take it easy, it was never part of my drug taking. Maybe I'm a little wiser these days and have learnt from past mistake...but I doubt it. ;)

Ah, you beat me to it, I just posted:

As long as it's within reason I can't see there's a problem - it's just keeping it 'within reason' that takes a bit of practice 8);)

Mind you, I never drink in the house, apart from the odd glass of wine with a meal, with drinking at the pub being only part of the reason for going.
