Drug-related tattoos

I have a thc molecule in smoke that has 215 in it for prop 215 on one leg, and a norcal start with buds coming up the sides like the cadalac sign on the others....i always wear pants to family reunions lol
 
MXE art and tattoo

Wasn't sure where this goes, thought there was an art subforum around here somewhere.
I drew this after lots of bouts on MXE.
Has lots of meaning to me.
I ended up learning to tattoo, and tattooing it on my own leg. To remember when I went to space to meet god and learn about the pyramids.
Sorry the pic is kinda shitty and hard to see but you get the idea.

We can't tell exactly without the atoms labeled.

It seems to not show double bonds either, if that is a carbon chain, then most of those carbons have a positive formal charge.

Last bit looks like it's an amine group with two methyl groups substituted for the hydrogens.

Since there is no double bonds shown, I'm guessing that is a benzene ring.

EDIT: Just came to my head. Isn't this a bad representation of dimethyltryptamine?

EDIT #2: Nope, it's similar. Sees to be 3-(1H-indol-3-yl)-N,N-dimethylpropan-1-amine.
 
looks like a parent found a drawing in their sons drawer and wants to find out what their son is taking =D
anyways, it looked to me right away like a bad drawing of DMT, which it probably is.

Assuming a teenager drew it Jackeh, they probably don't know what the hell 3-(1H-indol-3-yl)-N,N-dimethylpropan-1-amine is (I don't even know what that is I might add), so its probably DMT... you know them kids and their DMT these days

If I hit the nail on the head and you are a concerned parent, take it easy on the kid ;P
if anything, I'd be proud the kid is showing interest in organic chemistry - at least he's trying to be smart about his substance use... could be a lot worse
 
I don't even know what 3-(1H-indol-3-yl)-N,N-dimethylpropan-1-amine is either. :P Can't find a shorter name or a nickname for it anywhere so I'm pretty sure it isn't used recreationally or medically (yet).

i saw a poster the other day at the mall that had the org chem molecular structures of various pop-culture psychoactives on it.. most of them were incorrect, they messed up particularly bad on labelling isomers
It gave me the feeling I sometimes get that my culture is being raped and stolen from me, and being sold for a quick profit.

btw if thats a tattoo, the small claims court case thats likely going to result from it would make a good Judge Judy episode... its like the artist didn't know whether to make it look cartoony or serious, so they tried going for both and it ended badly.. either that or the guy doing the tattoo shouldnt have been giving people tattoos in the first place

Drug tattoos.. what does everyone think about tattoos representing drug use?

I apolguize if this is in the wrong place.. but very new to this.

I'm just so curious as I seen a few pictures of people having the chemical compound of MDMA tattooed on their body.. what does everyone think of this??

I actually considered getting "XTC" tattooed, a very small one and in a relativity hidden place. Simply because, xtc has given me the best nights of my life.
I understand that people grow out of drugs or begin to hate them(Ive used drugs for a few years now.. so long past the honeymoon period) but I feel like
its the only tattoo I can agree on. Some how, I'm in love with it but being 20years old, I wanted to know if everyone will think I'm stupid.
The whole point of getting a tattoo is getting what YOU want.. so im not looking any real opinions, I'm just very curious as to what you would think if you seen someone with it tattooed??

I think 'Tatts' look shyte and common, but I have considered getting a tattoo of a classic English fox hunt on my back.
 
I think there is something kinda cheesy about drug tattoos.. I dont know maybe because i have really only seen them on dirt balls.. eight balls. grass leaves, syringes, razor blades.. I say if you're going to get a drug tattoo get it nicely folded into a really nice peace. I guess like all tattoos its all about how good the piece and how good is the artist and how good you take care of the work.
 
IF I WERE YOU... i would get something more subtle, like a subliminal tattoo. for instance, my drug of choice is opiates - oxy & heroin. i would (& am planning to) get a poppy flower (where opiates come from) or maybe even the chemical symbol for dopamine (the part of the brain that opiates affect). that way YOU know what it means & is somewhat obscure to the average person. & when you're older it can still have it's meaning OR can mean something completely different but still isn't like "HEY you did drugs when you were young"
