Drug-related tattoos

OK, this is the tat from about 2 months ago; alot more has been done since then but ill be wrapping it up tomorrow for the most part so consider this my "before" pic.

I dig the AIC reference. Definitely upload the finished piece.

I give you props for having the balls to put your tattoo up, being that it is so unique. All my tattoos are super recognizable if anybody knew who I was so if I put them up and anybody who knew me in real life saw the pics, they'd instantly know who Mr. Scag is. Ha.

But, very cool man. Very cool.

I've always wanted poppies on my other forearm, I love these O Keefes. Very nice and I have thought about using her poppies for a ref when/if I got them done as a nod (literally and figuratively) to the arts. I've also wanted VanGoughs empty chair.

Thanks, man. All my tats have musical/band references. My body is basically covered for the most part but my right arm has to do w/ The Beatles. I have mother Mary on the top, then w/ praying hands under which references the the song Let it Be (it says let it be in script on top of the shoulder) and then I did alot of album cover work throughout the rest of the arm. ONLY mistake on that arm is I had my birthday put on my forearm when I was 16 (31 now). I will prob. get it covered at some point but the arm/sleeve looks great otherwise and I dont want to fuck it up w/ a cover up.

Left arm represents death and gambling. Skulls w/ their eyes ripping out, says death up the arm (on other arm it says LIFE under the arm) and then there is a spider web on the shoulder having to go through what I sent though (jail, drugs, etc) and then 7-7-7 going down forearm, a joker on the underside of the forearm and a skull on the other side (love skulls).

Across the chest it says "come together" in huge print. Beatles song there. But also has to do w/ the LIFE and DEATH tats and COME TOGETHER in the middle, get it?

Stomach has a devil ripping out of it w/ huge wings across the entire stomach

Right left has a scorpion (only colored tat I have) taking up the whole calf.

Left leg has skull w/ a sick design pattern in the eyes and I added slight red to the design in the eyes.

FINALLY, I have 2 skulls on each should. One is wearing an old pirate bandana and the other is wearing a top had w/ one eye and smoking a pipe (weed).

My body is basically covered. This back piece was prob one of my last pieces for a while; I started to get this 2 weeks after I stopped using dope. I got it to remember the days of using, listening to AIC (I still do) and just thinking of the blood being drawn and how I always would get the rush before even injecting just based on seeing that blood be pulled back. Hell, even if I go back to using (hopefully not) I am still happy w/ the tat. CAME OUT SICK.

I work at the same tat shop on weekends; so all you peeps from Boston who want ink, call me up!

funny cuz some girls legit just DIG tattoos. but then you get others who find you to be a piece of shit for having them. thats fine by me tho, cuz I tend to like girls w/ tattoos anyway, so all those nice girls can get lost. but ill be out and a girl will come up to me and start asking to see my ink. they are usually the horny ones.
 
Now wouldn't that be a motherfucker if your tattoo caused you cravings or caused you to relapse? hahahahaah. aww man, I shouldn't be laughing about that... but whatever.
The whole "life & death" tattoo's are entirely too common imo. I mean, I'm not trying to bad talk you or your tats, but I see it ALOT!
It's just one of those common idea tats like the star tat, or the mustache tat (God I hate those!)

Anyways, I really dig your ink, bro. You should post some more pics of your tats.
I only have 2 tattoo's so far. I plan on getting more ink done pretty soon for christmas.

A Red 8 Fold Lotus Sun path on my right calve.
And Black ram horns with the word 'Ares' underneath it on my upper left chest.

And then, I plan on getting - An evil looking rams skull on my entire back. Half Flesh & Half skull.

Evil looking ram skull on the back and I instantly think of the last movie in the trilogy, or was it the first in the Silence of the Lambs series, with the dude who has the huge rams head devil like creature tattooed on his back. Manhunter may have been the name of the movie. I remember he found access to the original print in a library and killed the librarian then ate the original.

The VERY funny movie This Is the End also has a creature like that.

"Sippy time" <for those of you have seen the movie your probably cracking up at those two words. Too fucking funny.
 
I puss'd out and couldnt finish.I prob. have another session or two left.

back in the day w/ the rest of my body I'd always go into the shop being jammmmmmmmmmed out of my mind and shoot 2G's before each and every tat. sure, the tat would take away the high a bit since its going towards the pain but it surly did help and also helped me enjoy. there were times I even nodded out during the tattoo.. but those were my arms.

i legit CANT WAIT to add the blood in there; dripping the BLEED THE FREAK (Alice in Chains song) and also blood will be in the syringe on the pull back.

any other ideas peeps? I am open to any/all. can always add more.

you think I should ADD THE BLOOD or not? my artist friend says it could go either way but I think it would look sick.

Yeah a little bit of red for the blood will pop big time against the black and grey. When I was tattooing I would do that all the time, adding slight bright color against a black and grey piece to make everything explode.
 
exactly why I am thinking red here. I dont have any color on me except for a few pieces on my legs. but I feel the blood just fits in w/ the whole BLEED THE FREAK theme; it also fits in w/ the needle and how all us junkies/ex-junkies remember seeing the blood on the draw back and getting that instant rush.

any other ideas?
 
on the teeth? cant do that. would take up too much space and not look right. at first I was going to have the skull smoking a blunt but decided to leave that part out and make it more a sign of death than of happiness and drugs.
