drug induced theories

Well here goes, Last night when i tripped (on acid) i just had the purely chemical drug experience of it and none of the mind experience. it was weird, i still got the colors and visions and everythign but my mind kept telling me it was stupid so it threw me off bad.

it was the first time i had a ''bad' 'trip where it didnt just scoop me up and fill me with all the wonderful shit acid does. i got caught doubting so my brain went like "yo if you dont wanna believe in me then dont and see what you get - a trip w/no magic and just the plain ol chemical effects.''

But it was aight and cool in a way cause it game me a new idea about all drugs that are entheogens.

Did you ever think or notice that w/these drugs its all the same experience but each drug gives you a different version of it? theres different parts of the feeling and each drug has ''ratios'' of all the parts, the different feelings that make up the whole experience.

acid, it gives you a equal balance, a pretty even sprinkling of visuals and ''tripped out'' shit, peaceful zen style love, deep perceptions, the sense of humor where some shit is DEEEPLY funny, and etc.

weed has a higher sprinking of the chillness, a higher dose of the humor, and a lower ratio of visuals and the peaceful one w/it all vibe and more of the cool, down openness

E has a medium dose of the visuals, a lower dose of the chillness and peace, and a higher dose of the love and energy

Shrooms have a higher dose of visuals and the deep perceptions and exploding-head feeling and a lower dose of love and chillness and humor

But its all the same feeling. just for different drugs, its different ratios of the individual parts that make up the one big feeling. different ''sprinkles.''

and drugs like coke and dope or meth or crack aint got any sprinkles at all. =P

Aight, so what do you think of this theory, if it makes sense to you.
do you know what im sayin, do you agree w/it, did you ever see the same type of thing?

Or jsut talk about what some of your best ''theories'' and revelations are, serious or not, that you have got while on a drug, cuz u know you just come up with this shit every 5 minutes everytime you trip or get severely high.

save yourself sum time and dont holla if you think the ideas stupid cuz im skitch about even postin this idea I usually got my head on the ground not in the sky like that.

i think this fits in drug culture pretty good. ay whateva if you dont think so ill take out the talking about my theory and just make it be the second part of "share your best drug induced theories"

The last batch of mushrooms I grew were described by everyone as "lots of visuals, no mindfuck. It's like you can just feel the chemical but there's no spirit".

Then I tried them, and I would have to agree. Weirdest mushroom trip I ever had

I've thought about this before aswell. I think technology will eventually become so advanced, we will just live matrix style, like in the incubators, but in bliss. There will be nothing "wrong" with it. No complaints. Then eventually the self-evolving technology will no longer even need man.
 
I get the best theories on good old, plain jane marijuana. I once came up a theory having to do with mental reincarnations..because I'd recently moved to a new area, and kept "recognizing" people that I knew from backhome, in the faces/gait/personality/laughter etc of other people..so once while really high this led me to believe that the brain is of finite information-storing resources and since reality is all in our minds, it is only fitting that there are some "reruns" of these mental reincarnations going on..weird. It made way more sense when high though.

I've come PRETTY close to tying in Universal Grammar with proto-world language theories but it never pans out and soon as I'm high I forget stuff like this. It's odd what sort of psuedo-pattern-recognition that weed makes me think I'm experiencing..or maybe actually makes me experience it..hm.

I usually have LOTS of crazy, sometimes awesome theories while in a session (I always do my theorizing on pot) but I never write them down..
 
One time I was stoned and looking at this oak tree in my front yard... then an acorn fell to the ground... and I started thinking about how a man's semen is in fact, his seed... and I was wondering if the tree felt the same euphoric sexual burst everytime the wind blew and it released its seed.... and I really wanted to be a tree

nenarOPI I know exactly what your talking about. Sometimes I meet someone new who reminds me of an old friend and I instantly feel ive known him my whole life. They may have the same laugh or the same way of carrying themselves. Wich led me to believe that everyone is of a certrain peronality type. We are all brought in a world of the same substance, ourmpersonality is determined through our lifes experiences. Wich all seem to be differnt but they are only surface differences. Since we are all brought up in a world of the same make up but differnt combinations our personalites are the same way. Since there are only so many combinations there are only so many combinations of personalities. Same with the united states, you can live in bum fuck or the inner city, but everywhere you go there will always be the same 7-11, same shell station, same pepsi, and so on. The ego tells you are special and unique one of a kind but thats all bullshit, you have all the features of your parent who have the features of their parents all the way back till the beginning of time, it somehow all got scrambled and mixed together in some web of confusion wich has become the world as we see it today.

i agree with lacey k's theory and i've thought along those lines before. before i tried shrooms everyone was telling me they were completely different from weed but as soon as they kicked in they reminded me of nothing so as much as being really stoned off of pot, but of course they had their own unique character to them. my theory is that all enthnogens take us to the same spirit world and it only appears different because we are experiencing it through a different lense (each drug being the lense). as lacey k said some drugs have more of this or less of that but in the broadest sense they are all doing the same thing and they all have the basic lessons to teach.

I suppose there is the ever-so-slight chance that our limbs could become vestigial, as is the case with our appendices, but I could never forsee your prediction coming true. Scrape that, it cant happen. Human's havent really evolved in the true sense of the word since natural selection stopped occuring. If there's no natural selection, then evolution will not take place simply because there is no need to adapt in order to survive and reproduce. Thus I suppose it's possible that we might stop using our limbs in the future (due to technological advance), though we could never evolve to lose them completely unless we had to, to survive.

Anyway, I don't mean to discount your dxm-induced epiphany, but I, like you, have come up with many a theory when I was high only to later realise that it made absolutely no sense, and could only exist in my inebriated state. In fact, I can't even remember any of the many epiphanies/revellations that i've had when high, and yet they seem so signifcant at the time. O well.
 
Certain drugs seem to portray certain emotions.

Ecstasy: Love, happiness and contentment.

Speed: Anger, aggression, pride (perhaps?)

Marijuana: Embarrassment, mistrust, (self)hatred

LSD: Curiosity, awareness, criticism, sarcasm (for me sometimes)


Also on my first few trips, and the first time I truly got stoned, every thought I had echoed in this alien language. I thought either this was the language our creators spoke in or the language we will all speak in the future. Maybe both. Either way I haven't heard the psychedelic tongue since new years. I suppose I'll hear it again when I'm supposed to. I just wish I could decipher it all.

Well, I have this theory that if you're told a certain batch of mushrooms/pot/whatever will have a certain effect, you will probably experience those effects.

Maybe. But in all honesty, I ate 4.5 grams of these, and I didn't grow them any differently than other batches, but these were just bunk. NO mindfuck at all. I didn't even feel I was tripping, except for the Mayan patterns everywhere

My own theory is that these drugs open up the reptilian part of the brain, so we are seeing everything through a primitive mentality. It's like being a child... so new age freaks attach "spiritual significance" to something that is purely psychlogical and physiological and make up all these psuedo-theories that don't make a lick of sense unless you too are on these same drugs.

Just my theory though.

Hmmm I dont consider ''speed'' (didnt know people still say that) to be in the same category as i am talking about either. Its pretty specific what Im talking about.

what someone said, i agree completey: Ive said it myself: Tripping to me just feels like being REALLLLLLLLY REALLLLLLLY REALLLLLLLLLY (really x100) high. theres so much similarities its crazy.

Other shit like E, is kinda the same thing but with a different sprinkling of 'upness' and excitement and love and shit.

Thats what makes me believe (not all drugs just entheogens) that its all the same thing, and each drug just gives you a different flavor of it.
 
Oops, next time I'll actually have to read before I post.

To be honest I don't really look at things the way you do. I look at drugs from a scientific point of view. Different drugs cause different chemical reactions. Most of the psychedelic drugs work on your serotonin system so I can see why you think they're somewhat similar.

There are cave fish born without eyes because they haven't needed them for a really long time. I doubt having eyes hurt them that much, though.

The last time I tripped (on acid), I decided that life is constant motion and that there was no excuse for ever slowing down except to sleep and rejuvenate. That's so much easier to say when you're acid-powered, though. I still want to act like that, but I get tired way too fast. :\
