⫸STICKY⫷ Drug Addicts Anonymous

Crazy...but ya got a freebie, drunk w/ no consequences, LOL.

Yeah well, we used a xcohort of 118 dependent alcohol users and it did not get them drunk, it just stoppped the AWS without knocking them out cold. That was the idea, it was to be (at least initially) a sort of methadone for alcoholics. Only then, when it was a medicine would be try for a GSL. But if you are alcohol dependent, the MAIN effects are not craving alcohol an not having seizures BUT being able to sleep. But not in any way 'fun'.

Drug Addicts Anonymous or similar support groups can be really helpful for people trying to recover because they provide a safe space where you can talk openly without being judged.Being around others who are going through similar struggles often makes it easier to stay motivated and not feel alone in the process.Recovery is not a quick or easy journey but having support from a group, along with professional help when needed, can make a big difference.Even small steps matter and consistency is what helps people move forward over time.If someone is considering joining a group like this it can be a positive first step toward change.

Yeah that's me I go and go until theres nothing left. I just dont care lol. Ome reason I dont like fucking with opioids is because when I feel good I want more and never want it too end. Terrified of it ending because I got back to my horrible anger isseus and boredom/depression and misery
Thats why most programs call for total abstinence. I started smoking pot/doing drugs at age 13. Was drinking nightly from age 18 and was a full blown alcoholic by age 24/25 drinking at east 15 beers every night. Started AA and stopped drinking at 27 but abused hard drugs then pot until age 35.

Committed 100% to AA, steps, sponsorship, 7 meetings a week and was 100% clean and sober for 20 years. Followed directions to a tee. Many, many people come to AA and quite honestly they don't follow directions, fail, then come on to boards like this spewing hatred for AA. But I have seen it work first hand for thousands of people. People say "AA brainwashes you." They are right, but my brain need washing.

At age 55 I smoked pot again...but did not like the effect. I do take ecstasy once or twice a month, but I am just fine with half a hit. I have dabbled with other drugs but simply do not abuse them anymore. I have not touched alcohol in nearly 36 years. Alcohol is what got me really in trouble, locked up, fired, etc.

I have used Kratom the last few years, had unlimited access to Oxy and fent for about 2.5 years. Fortunately I found this forum and everyone scares me poopless about opiod addiction. I was told 2 years ago that I would be homeless by now/hopelessly hooked but I am still living in the house I have owned for 20 years driving the same car. The reason is I take very, very seriously the stories of the people here....I know what a slippery and fast slope opiods can be. I think that also part of the reason I don't have big problems is related to the psych meds I am on and also the small amount of Zepbound I take to keep my weight down. Supposedly the Zepbound curbs addiction.

Honestly it was a waste for me because I cant get Job cant do anything at this point to get out my situation. Even if I could get a job good luck affording a apartment or house out here. Its basically trying to enjoy my day at this point. Just ends up making me depressed watching other people move on and makes me want to use drugs more. Its very complicated I have some anti social traits and dont get along with people so im not very well liked lol.

May I ask your age? It doesn't really matter when shooting the shit, but there are valid differences in struggles that can help people get to know you and understand what things might be holding you back from meeting your goals.

I'm 34 and had some personality quirks let's say that held me back. And I'd wager that the majority of users on this website are older than me. I'd place a bet at 50 average age maybe? I don't know, but just so that you are aware.

Today it's absolutely not easy to find stable work, housing, and all the necessities, especially when lots of other people simply got there first and it's so competitive to simply get the things that we all deserve as humans in the first place.

Well, if it makes you feel any better I was a college professor who had his career ruined and then had to work as a personal trainer. However because I did not abuse drugs and especially alcohol I stayed married. I was a nasty drunk and cut a pretty soldi path of destruction. For the first 10 years of my marriage a made very good money and paid for everything. During the last 10 years my wife has paid most of the bills. She hit menopause last year ate age 48 and started drying me sex. I am almost 64 so I stay with her. I had a cancer scare and need shoulder replacement.

So my life is good, but most certainly not all sunshine and roses :) So I was a loser...became a winner, and now am sort of a loser again, LOL.

You are young, and I bet have much, much more potential than you think. I was pretty screwed up until the age of 35.

AA/NA can help you A LOT. I also had to get mental help care.

Smart Recovery Meetings proved to levy a few triggers that I had about 15 months ago.

The hardest thing I ever did was quit a public security job and cold turkey alcohol and stimulants and attempt to pursue articles relating to my cirumstances.

Substance abuse disorder challenges presenting to a spectrum a success rate via the treatments, in part and partial to my recovery, I was committing to new programs, and started another social media account and substack dedicated to marijuana and auto immune disorders, altered states, Extra sensory perception and interspecies communication, NIH articles Raphael Mechouleum to be specific.

I have read a few things recently, relating to vaccine agenda, in Noth America. Though technically not apart of my recovery.

Somehow my nostalgia with witch doctors in the carribean and Georgia Sea, Tiger Cults on the mainland, and medicine men who had seen poison from sea creatures return in homebrew that made men rise from below headstones and cemetaries, mystery anesthesia of sorts is a lifelong pursuit.

"Moonshot" by Albert Boula, the CEO of Pfizer, is a force of nature.

The old man had really kept his word.

One sentence review. Sure some of info still held my attention.

Hey I'm nick and I'm waiting on some cocaine rn. Lord have mercy on me, I'm fucking human and being handicapped so young fucks with my mind.
I love you guys.
its all good bro, just know you fucked up and do what you have to do too get back on track in life. Cocaine cant compete with who you really are, you will find this out sooner or later on your own.

I’m a polydrug addict.
Diazepam
Pregabalin
Cocaine
And im taking buperenophine for a opiod abuse as well.

I’ve been an introvert all my life so I’m naturally anxious. So when I tried diazepam I loved it…well i suppose that’s how an addiction starts.

Diazepam and pregabalin I take daily along with my bupe too.

My cocaine use is getting out of hand lately, Life has been giving me a rough time atm
Last year I got clean (except for the bupe)
It lasted about month.

My anxiety was SO fucking bad when I had nothing in my system. The other factor is that I’m not working atm because of all of this.
I’m pretty sure I was still withdrawing from the benzo tbh. I wasn’t taking diazepam daily, I binged on them just to have that warm benzo hug,

Doctors tried 5 types of SSRIs, they are useless for me, they are poison!
Im in a hole that i can’t see the light.

The coke HAS to stop FIRST, I know that, but addiction doesn’t work like that and online prices are so low… for all drugs I’m addicted to, which makes it hard.

Let’s hope I make it out

My recent bout with stimulants became lifelong problem . I wasn't dreaming regularly without cocaine and opiods. For almost 7 years, carfentanyl was a miracle following a surgery that forced me to learn how to read and write again at age 20.

Since then drug companies in the states have lost control of the patents for plenty of prescriptions, Paul Janssen, if they ever existed, and Purdues lawsuits and drama by harm reduction have ground new innovations to a hault. Transdermal preparations remained unavailable after the pain management review board labels my hashish use, as a cannabis use disorder,

Presenting more substance abuse challenges to the spectrum of my disorder.

Fuckinh fucked my whole life up thinking a threshold of hash and a dissassociative substances would lead to effects auxiliary to trad med programs and treatments for pain and auto immune spikes

Review board for social services in my region is currently gatekeeping treatment from me.

Harm reduction community were definitely not making me feel safer here, or in the chapters I continued to try to reach.

Carl Hart has been insulting people wherever his face is. He talking bout when you grow up... his experiment is flawed let me get in my feelings a minute, i paraphrase from his book "$20 or Crack"

or he can just go find his own shit in south Chicago,

Professionally, that is someone who should not be near material science.

Period.

when the participants i saw in southeast US were snitching on each other and assaulting dealers and sending their staff to jail. The military-pharma pipeline exists only in the US, intricate and detail logistics are important and was asked to side with victims, the same victims who claim want justice, are also given charges as directors of harm reduction by DEA. Yes, im pro drug. I support DEA.

I cannot work with crackheads flinging out hypodermic needles tell me they are representing DPA and have a stigma to material science.

Point Made.

My stigma is with the establishment in the US. A few people. Not the whole thing. I cannot work with people that do not want to participate in their community and speak like that.

How many times will administrators push me to tell my community, expect a success rate.
70%? 80%? Sure

I've seen 100% success rate.

In a protocol I did not write.
First time. It took.

And I have heard the opposite answers from staff in harm reduction,

It didnt take.

Then I sought out why the harm reduction community was not advocating the auto immune treatment side of the programming

Non sense
