"Drank" Now Being Marketed as the "Anti-Red Bull"

Haha,weird,i just read about this the other day on wikipedia,not even knowin about the commercial product of it until i stumbled upon it while lookin through rap articles on wiki

It first started in Houston wit DJ Screw.

Originally, the active ingredient of "syrup" was cough syrup containing promethazine and codeine. The concoction first gained popularity in the underground Houston rap scene and later spread to other southern states

Cough syrup is typically mixed with ingredients such as Sprite soft drink and pieces of Jolly Rancher candy. The purplish hue of purple drank comes from dyes in the cough syrup

everyone is going to buy a drink that will make you pass out after a joint, instead of a red bull that will have you dry humping everyone in the club.
 
A friend of mine from Texas sent me some before you could buy them online from their website. They are priced at around the same price as an energy drink. I had four.

I drank one at a time, once with drinking alcohol, once with marijuana. Basically it made me a little sleepy, but on the first one the placebo effect was pretty strong and I felt "good".

I went to a health store (similar to GNC) called Hi-Health and bought sleeping blend capsules that contained Melatonin and Valerian Root. Minus the rose hips extract, these are the same thing plus with some other vitamins.

It's more of a novelty item but I was cool as hell walking into a party all nerdy looking carrying a can of drank.
 
i want sum a dat purple stuff....

melatonin helps put me to sleep, but im sure all the sugar would off set that anyway haha

Well, it's original and makes you look cool (or like a douche, depends on who's watching you) when you drink it and it tastes absolutely delicious, but don't expect to get a buzz or anything really.

Yeah it kind of does counter the sleepy stuff in it. I really do not know what Valerian Root and Rose Hips do for you. Melatonin helps me sleep too.
 
USES Sedative; Relaxant; Anxiolytic; Treatment for cramps and painful periods; Migraine Treatment, Valerian root from erowid. Can't find anything on the rose hips.
 
Valerian root? lol haven't you seen fight club? That's what the doc recomended norton after he shot him down for benzos =p
 
and im uber white and drank nothing but drink when i was a kid so fuck the racial divide lol
