Dopamine is the best drug

I briefly looked at the oral bioavailability of psychoactive substances in a dead human brain and despite there apparently being and unknown number commonly accepted to be over 100 different neurotransmitters and chemical messengers in a living human nervous system the oral bioavailability of all these chemicals from a dead brain is thought to be so negligible as to be about non. This was just a quick exploration and is certainly not conclusive or guaranteed accurate.

Edit:
NSFW:
For the most part, neurons in the human brain communicate with one another by releasing chemical messengers called neurotransmitters. All neurotransmitter molecules undergo a similar cycle of use involving (1) synthesis and packaging into vesicles in the presynaptic cell; (2) release from the presynaptic cell and binding to receptors on one or more postsynaptic cells; and (3) rapid removal and/or degradation. The total number of neurotransmitters is not known, but is well over 100.

Dopamine doesn’t induce any pleasure.

Edit: it does enhance the degree of anticipatory hedonic prediction.

While true and I agree, what would pleasure be without the anticipation of it?

This is just psychosemantical nonsense. But for real.... what would pleaure even feel like if dopamine wasn't involved?

My point is the anticipation of pleasure can be just as good (if not more) than the payoff itself. That's kinda addiction in a nutshell.

While it's not the payoff chemical... is it just as rewarding as the payoff itself?

Not asking you directly just going off on a thought experiment tangent
