I found this to by a myth, While sometimes I wouldn't roll as hard I still rolled 90% of the time and I was on two ANtipdressants at the time. Do you people just believe anything you read or has been studied?

Combining serotonergic drugs with SSRIs can cause serotonin syndrome, this quite well established clinically, and i'm sure a lot of people on here also have personal experience with the combination and resulting side effects. How bad these effects can be of course can vary from person to person and the specific drugs and quantities involved.

what antidepressants/dose/how long and what drug? wouldn't have been two ssri's unless you have a retarded doctor. if pressed pills it's not unlikely it wasn't mdma. if crystals what dose? did you test it?

not that any of that really matters, because drugs affect people differently. from personal experience if i don't stop my ssri's i have a reduced experience, no wanting to hug every stranger, just a short lived speedyness. and dulls down 2c-b and LSD but just means i have to dose higher with those.

yes i believe things that have been studied, what the fuck are you suggesting, that i believe things that haven't been studied?

Dude Serotonin Syndrome is serious shit, while you have gotten lucky, it only takes one time to really fuck yourself up.... dont be so cocky about it

Tried a few times on paxil, and knowing exactly how it should feel, its clear all you get is the stim effects. Have you in fact tried without being on ssri, you didnt say.

You get a fever and muscle tremors, in serious cases it will cause seizures and cause your muscle tissue to break down, which can result in kidney failure from excess protein in bloodstream.

There's nothing happy about serotonin syndrome. OP, just because you "rolled" doesn't mean its safe.

It is actually quite the dangerous combination.

That seratonin syndrome stuff sounds so spooky, lol. What happens on it? Your'e real happy?

Lol sounds happy, you don't understand how neurotransmitters work do you? Serotonin does a lot more then make you happy, an over abundance on the neurons that can not be removed is serious stuff. You should avoid SSRIs with drugs that dump serotonin into the brain. Please avoid doing this you'll melt your brain.

Lol, Wow. Just because you rolled on the combo doesn't mean anything, every one is different to. what is "safe" for 1 person could possibly kill/hurt the next, you never know.

What your saying is like me saying since i nodded off and did Heroin for the first time on 4mg of alprazolam and was fine and "happy" its a safe combo, its a myth that people get hurt or die on opiate+benzos combos. see how stupid ^that looks or sounds. **i do not recommend opiates+benzos everyone just using it as a example**

no offense we just don't need others seeing this and thinking they can roll safely on SSRI's.

I have to agree with everyone else who said that just because you did this before and were fine means it is safe for anyone to take any quantity of MDMA + SSRIs without worry. Every person and situation is different. You also could have worded your post a little more nicely: "Do you people just believe anything you read?" isn't a very helpful way to start an intelligent discussion in search of the facts.

I have read anecdotal reports, clinical reports, and scientific reviews on serotonin toxicity caused by MDMA and/or combining MDMA with an SSRI, so yes I do believe it's possible.

Not sure if this thread should be moved to Ecstasy Discussion or if it should just be closed?

I would rather do some crazy stuff then poison my brain, leading to a surprising and most uncomfortable situation of your life.

I shiver at the thought... I almost shiver at the acronym SSRI to begin with.

One of these days it will happen if you keep doing it... Please don't do that again.

Not really much more discussion to be had, topics been covered plenty of times on BL and all over the internet, if you have a more specific question OP please open a new thread.

Closing.
