It can have some long ranging effects. I am surprised so little has been said about anxiety.
There may be much more to the difference of opinion than simply patterns of use or a mental constitution. This difference of opinion is perhaps due to a lack of any real organized comparison, or there may be some aspects of the drug nobody has yet to grasp.
It seems like other users are denying the problems presented. But does denial translate to low intelligence? I think the argument can be made that denial is kind of dumb.
Personally it left me and others I know altered for the worse. I think there are hard and soft effects. Soft effects, on their own are not damaging, short term effects lasting a few weeks or a month. Hard effects are cumulative, they are easy to miss because they are both subtle and irretrievable and using the drug is a great way to camouflage them. In some way, certain ones of us saw those issues develop where others did not.
I don't believe moderation changes the hard effects. I liked that "rant" by the way.
