I'm referring to the antidiarrheal options i mentioned. Bupe is a maintenance drug, the others aren't, and therefore are better for acute opioid withdrawal. Also a lower halflife. They're just better options but medical professionals like to give out bupe like candy instead of some shit that'll actually work. Bupe is cancerous and nasty, hard asf to metabolize.

Yeah you didn't take a high enough dose for long enough to have the bad withdrawals really. Ive had two week periods of using it but its when I escalatef it to that 25 gram plus dose mark where I felt totally sedated and the effect lasted hours and hours + combined half a year plus of using that it got really bad

I have withdrawn from Morphine at doses of over 100mg per day. I did it cold turkey. It was horrible and the WD gave me shingles which is INSANELY painful.

I've tried to cold turkey kratom multiple times in dosages ranging from 15gpd-30gpd. Have never been able to successfully complete it. I have made it as far as 2 weeks into a kratom cold turkey and always break around that mark due to the horrible and deep depression and spikes of anxiety/panic.

Morphine WD was a bit more painful, but the mental aspect was a walk in the park compared to Kratom. Kratom is also insanely uncomfortable and at times painful to come off of physically, it's just that morphine was a bit more intense. Plus with Morphine WD I felt a lot better after 7 days. Kratom I find the physical WD to start improving around day 7 but last until 14 days in or so. 14 days into Kratom WD I find that the depression and anxiety get far worse than the first 14 days and lasts probably 3-4 more weeks after that.

If given the choice between going cold turkey off of Morphine or cold turkey off of Kratom, I'd probably choose morphine

This is how I felt compared to my benzo and alcohol withdrawal. Physically the benzos and alcohol might of been worse (apart from they didnt give me restless legs) but puking etc was worse. Kratom would give me restless legs, flu symptoms, anxiety and body aches but its the level of depression I would reach compared to my other withdrawals that made it so bad and like you said it just drags on longer.

Phenobarbital, Clonidine, Xanax/Ativan, Hadol, Lyrica, and Seroquel are some of the best Rx medications for opioid withdrawal. If you get all of them or most of them, The idea is to space them out throughout the day so they the effects on the body are not as serious. Some of these are hard to obtain and you have to watch the overlap affect.

It has a very short length of action as well, causing me to dose many times throughout the day.

There are medical journals with people getting liver injury from kratom. While rare, it can happen.

And I’ve only taken Kratom powder, but I’ve taken it every day for 9 years. It’s not just a few month type deal.

I've slowly tapered down to 15g/day but it's been a lot harder than I thought it would be. I'm really struggling to go below that amount.

If you're taking powder switch to capsules it'll be easier and honestly? Extracts aren't bad if you use a dosage calculator and I think they're easier to taper off of if you can get a close to pure MIT only extract, that way you're only withdrawing from one alkaloids when you jump off and it's easier to titrate by the mg than the gram

Until recently I hadn't considered the fact that there are many different alkaloids in kratom, which complicates withdrawal. All I've ever heard about concentrates is that tolerance builds quickly, making detox harder. But I can see how a simpler chemical profile might simplify the process.

Nevertheless, I think I'll stick to powdered leaf. As long as I'm tapering very slowly, I believe I can do this. Honestly, I don't necessarily care if I go to zero. I just want to get down to a reasonable amount and not always be taking more, more, more.

Tolerance only rises more quickly with extracts because people are dumb and way over shoot their dosages or end up stacking the extravt dosage on top of plain leaf as well. go to Google and use DTE dosage extravt calculator and you can find the dose you should be takin that equals to your powder dosage and then slowly work down by the MG daily or weekly. In my experience you want to stabalize on just extracts for a week or two before you start to taper from them that way the other kratom alkaloids have a chance to leave your system and then you can begin to withdraw from just MIT. stay tf away from 7oh and pseudo extracts
