Both are very visual drugs. Reactions to each will vary depending on the individual, so I can only offer you my personal comparisons.
2c-e is more visual for me, with more of a focus on the OEVs. DOC has more interesting CEVs generally, that consistently resemble spatial tunnels - like a scifi wormhole.
2c-e is a much less positive headspace, more profound and therapeutic, less fun. DOC has a nootropic cognitive enhancement to its headspace that has allowed me to have truly intelligent discussion, whereas 2c-e's headspace is a little manic and confused for much thorough discussion. Rather, 2c-e's headspace lends itself well to creative outlet such as freeform writing, poetry, and music composition. The muscle tension tends to be about the same with each drug but the nausea is far worse with 2c-e. Both may cause nausea and vomiting on the come up, DOC's nausea tends to wear off faster after the come up than 2c-e's, however. DOC is a more potent chemical by weight and therefor should be dosed volumetrically (ie dissolve larger quantity of powder in solution and use a measuring device to dose out a smaller amount.) 2c-e can generally be dosed with a milligram scale (do NOT use a .01 scale for either substance).
DOC on average has a longer duration than 2c-e. 2c-e has a duration very similar to LSD, but consistently longer for me, whereas the duration of DOC can range anywhere from 12-30 hours. Personally, I find DOC's main duration of effects to be similar to 2c-e, with the remaining 8 hours to be faint residual stimulation with little to no psychedelic activity. A benzo for the comedown of DOC is very much recommended to allow sleeping.
