Do you wake up withdrawing?

Actually thinking about it, even though I'm on suboxone and don't use dope everyday anymore, I still wake up sick every morning. Even if I take some suboxone at like 7 PM the night before, when I wake up, I will still have runny eyes and cold sweats and general irritability. So yeah, even when im not strung out on heroin and am trying to stay clean with suboxone, I still wake up sick everyday.

well those times are over for me aswell but
before going on mmt i definatly woke up
sick several times a week.
it depended on wether i used late or early the
day before. the very first thought after waking
up was always about my stash if it's full or empty.
most of the time it was empty so the next thought
would be where i could get money and dope.

on the good days i would fix me a shot right in bed,
light a cig and lay back.

I used to wake up in extreme WD's.

i hated waking up, a lot.

Get some suboxone in your life.

LIFE SAVER!

If I don't fix the previous night, close to the time that I go to sleep, I will wake up sick. I usually wake up very sweaty, hot/cold, body aches, with a very disgusting feeling in my gut, and fucking awful tingling/burning in my legs for which there is no relief, save having a nice shot of smack.

It is really an awful way to awaken as it is sort of a disturbing prologue to a day which you just know will get progressivelly worse if you aren't able to fix. :\

Sometimes - I am addicted to poppy tea and if I dose the night before, I will be fine for 24 hours or so, the withdrawals usually start to creep in by then. If I am tapering and take a "get well" dose I will usually feel sick in the morning, and then it just gradually gets worse throughout the day.

I usually am sick before I wake up, and when I do wake up it's cause I can't stand the dreams I have from the w/d.

Exactly. I can tell in my sleep that I'm sick just based upon the level of horror I'm experiencing in my dreams. Then I force myself to wake up, and if I'm holding it's all good. The side effects usually aren't that extreme. I guess it's because my mind/body knows that it'll be OK in a couple minutes.
If I'm not holding, and have to go grab shit, then I'm achy, sneezing, runny nose, runny eyes, cramped stomach, etc. My only thought is how I can get the process done as quickly as possible.
God fucking forbid I don't have shit, and don't have the cash to get any. If that's the case the symptoms are 3-4 times worse, and the thoughts that go along with it are awful. The typical, "how did I get myself to this point?" "I'd rather be dead then feel this way" bullshit. I've learned to set up my use schedule to avoid this as often as humanly possible.

if I wake up and dont take something to induce pressor effect (a stimulant) I get light headed if I work out, from huge drop in blood pressure. Due to MDPV/meth/amphetamine/ect

but a cigarette or some ephedrine fixes that.

people gotta specify what drug they are taking, opiates is not a drug it's a very broad class of drugs. It makes a difference. When I was on dope I used to wake up sick and use the first thing in the morning always before 8am. Now, I'm dependent on suboxone but never wake up sick due to the long half life.

I would think that methadone would hold people as long as sub holds me due to both having long half lives. I sometimes don't have to dose for 48hrs and I'm mostly fine, just light sweating more than usual which is annoying as hell but very light and manageable.

I could relate very much to this when I was in my active addiction a year or so ago. I had dope for a year straight with no breaks. Would not go to bed if I knew I didn't have any. During that 1 year period I had serious w/d 2-3 times out of my own choice. Otherwise I would not go on far trips and I would always have enough dope on me not to get sick and never w/d. It was always on my mind and it was always top priority. I would purchase large amounts at once just to make sure it's in my hand at all times.

I guess I never really woke up in w/d. I would start getting uncomfortable in bed and had to wake up before any serious w/d symptoms started.

I used to. Not anymore though, thank god. I went through a pretty heavy phase of oxy, and that was brutal. I'd wake up, watery eyes, non stop yawns, back and legs hurting, having diarrhea.

Some days I could make it through class, others I couldn't.

I'd pop 2 Tylenols, 2 Advils, and 1 or 2 Immodiums, and off I went.

Unless of course I had something better to make it go away.

It's amazing how ingrained using/avoiding sickness becomes in your day to day life. Most of the time I had it down to a science. I would buy 2 bundles after work, fix when I got home, fix again an hour before bed, and then sleep. Waking up on time to get ready for work would coincide with the early stages of withdrawal. Typically the minor aches, runny eyes/nose I described before. I'd then shoot up first thing. Just part of the routine, no different than brushing my teeth.
That period of use was about 10 months, and I probably got really sick 6-8 times during that period. The thing that completely fucked me was being put on furlough at work. A complete fucking disaster. It was during that time that there were many days where I'd wake up knowing that I was gonna be very, very sick and unless I got real creative, there wasn't a fuckin' thing I could do about it. Eventually I got back on subs.
As far as taking trips, I'd do the same thing you would do. Plan ahead and load up, counting the number of times I'd need to get high, and subsequently how many bags I would need fix that many times.

I'm on suboxone as well. I typically wake up feeling sub par, but I go as long as I can without taking it just so I can get some weak sense of euphoria from them.

I usually make it to around noon...wake up at 6 for work every day.

Yeah its weird, whenever I'm dependent on any opiate I always feel like semi dope sick when I wake up. Like even if I use dope or take a sub before I go to bed, when I wake up the following morning I always have runny eyes and cold sweats and just feel generally crummy.

Because of suboxone's half life shouldn't it last longer then just a night? One does typically will keep me ok for 16 - 24 hours.

Not anymore. Been on subs for a while now, but on oxy I'd always be sweating and pissed off until I dosed.

I also had a problem with withdrawals on subs, but I was dosing 3-4 times a day. I now take my full dose at night and I'm good all day. Half-life seems to shorten when taken many times a day.
