Do you think Jesus would frown on psychedelic use?

Do you think Jesus or Siddhartha Buddha or any of the mythical spiritual masters of before would say that psychedelic plants are bad?

Would they discredit their potential for spiritual development? Or would they themselves have no qualms partaking? After all Jesus' dad created the existence of and psychodynamics within the experience of mushrooms and mescaline lol, you think he would hold to the straight and narrow adaptations which are our current trends and dogmas in church? Or would he be 'down to earth' regarding their potential for connecting with 'the father'...?

Asking "what would so and so mythical character have thought" is unresolveable. Seems like an attempt to start a brouhaha about religion having nothing to do with the psychedelics but focusing on peoples' irrelevant guesses about the pretend thoughts of fictional characters, for your own amusement. Then again no one is forcing anyone to post or read anything, so... let the circus begin!

I think a master energy-worker or monk would see the potential for development from such. Lol, this may stir some shit, but I think its a legit question. I fear the chapels view may be different than the masters...purely speculatory of course, but philosophy is always consideratory.

Philosophize...! :-)

It's my personal little fantasy that religions around the world orginated through some kind of psychedelic use.

Remember that there are several sects of Christianity and other religions that openly embrace the use of entheogens for spiritual growth. Uniao do Vegetal in Brazil uses ayahuasca; the Church of Inner Light believes that DPT is in fact Christ's body (certainly way better than crackers and holy wine); hell there's even the idea that Christ's death and resurrection is a metaphor for a mushroom which births forth with life from compost that was considered dead.

As far as Jesus himself on the topic of tripping balls, I'm sure He would approve if your goal was to better yourself and your community. To me He was the ultimate hippie, begging for scraps of food in exchange for some positive vibes. Then there are the days He spent in the desert rejecting Lucifer's temptations, which sounds a lot like a the kinds of spiritual trials that a tripper might face on a particularly grueling voyage.

Nice to hear mention of Church of Inner Light, again! Never got around to going, but I always loved the idea of them. Are they still in NYC doing their thing, or did the gestapo put a stop to it, I wonder. Did anyone around here ever partake with them? Any talk of the big JC there?

Lol see now its flow in...!
And I'm not bound to societal linguistic tendencies...if it brings about the concept I am intending I will compile roots and suffixes to my own poetic pleasing. I certainly comply with the language norms enough to get my ideas across in a coherent fashion...but I'm an artist, and I prefer to amuse myself with 'out of the box' and eccentric expression, thank you very much ;) I could've said 'rooted in consideration' or any other number of alternative expressions, but I felt the vibe on consideratory...lol, def: of consideration :-) wait til the next dictionary update, it'll be there :-)

How do you guys who have RC exp feel about dpt being the sacrament...?
Is that a particularly conducive to spiritual exp psych?

From what I've read it certainly has a heavy dose of the "magic", but I've refrained from testing my batch because I simply haven't had the set or setting for such a trip. Definitely looking forward to it in the future.

Indeed it is. DPT is pretty damn mind boggling. My major peak experience with it had me vibrating and somehow navigating a world constructed purely out of the OM symbol. Its a very intense experience with potential for real terror, but definitely something that every chemical cosmonaut should indulge in.

Top marks for neologism too. :)
