Long time ago I took a hit and went to a strip club. At first it was awesome as fuck, but I was the only one tripping in the group; so IYKYK. At some point you will begin to believe that all the sober (not tripping) people in the area are plotting against everything you hold dear. Now, combine that with already drunk before it kicked in, it is dark with neon lights, loud ass music, buddies doing the guy at a strip club thing, then top that with hot naked chicks engaging you, in conversation, and sounding like they are interested in what you have to say? Yea, I freaked a bit. Ran to a Micky-Ds and tired to use the payphone...yes payphone, to call a buddy who had my truck keys so he could come get me if I needed a ride. Problem was, the phone didn't make any sense. Like, I couldn't decipher the encrypted matrix of the metal keypad to call an 8 number line. Remember everyone in the area? Now McDonalds folks are targeting me. Kidnapping? Murder? Maybe they wanted to buy me a hot fudge sunday (no Mc Flurries yet) and some fries? Doesn't matter. I ran back to the strip club. Well, just walked. But a cop went the other way down the street which was normal. It was a 4 w/turn lane road, there were bars and restaurants in the area, I had done nothing to draw attention. Although, the officer was in that same 'area'. Then I did run thinking ol' Texas law was chasing me. They were not in pursuit. Upon reaching the parking lot, and I still do not know how I remember this to this day, but the car I arrived in (my buddies) was still parked. Regardless, I jumped into a thick set of bushes that gave me a good vantage point of the front door. And after concealing myself the best I could, I waited. May have been 10 minutes or 2 hours. I did give people a good story to make fun of me after. If anyone actually read this whole short story, I could come up with a longer version with a bit more.....panache?
