Do you ever see people dealing on the street?

San Francisco and the bay area - Sometimes. Definitely in certain parts of the city, but the cops never bother. In my less-intelligent youthful days, I could walk down the streets of S.F. drinking a 40 Oz. in plain view and the cop's wouldn't even look at me. They have better things to do.

But in San Diego where I am now - no, you never see a deal going down. Unless youre in the really ghetto areas near el cajon, then you might catch something, but its still a rarity since there are so many spots people would rather quickly walk to.

Oh nah, I'm in a ghetto city alright, but its small as hell.

I used to live in some freaking 'burbs in another state though, no chance of anything there.

Psilo, you disappoint me .. i'm gonna be in SD in a few weeks, no idea where to go but I was hoping I could find something downtown relatively easy .. only time I've been downtown was by the new ballpark, a ton of crazy transients there, so I thought maybe there'd be some narcotics too :\
 
^^if youre in a ghetto city it dont matter how damn small it is you got your drugs there dawg you just aint getten em

Yeah, you're right about that, it's really the tweekers that stand out the most here... the heroin users seem pretty peaced out (nodding off in doorways and whatnot) but the tweekers seem to really make their presence known.

sympho pretty much hit the nail on the head about scoring in Columbus (I live there too). I live in the actual city so I see quite a few deals a day. Mostly it is the type she described, like you see a car in a parking lot and another one drives by and all of a sudden the car is following the other.
 
You can always score weed in the city, especially at the park.. I've been offered shrooms, weed, and coke before there. Anywhere I walk, they murmur shit.

If you want to score and you think one of these street boys have anything. Just walk near them and chill and light up a stoge, they know what you want and you know what they want.
 
I was in denver today only for a few hours, and it is everywhere, people are really obvious about it too
 
smalltown usa, no, we keep it indoors. doesnt mean u cant tell a house has constant traffic going in and out sometimes.

cities in pa: Hburg, Atown, philly, reading, oh most def. ud have to be blind to not know what was going on. i mean a dude stands on a corner with his boys, a car rolls up about every 45 seconds to 5 minutes, goes up to window and throws a tiny, not even visible object at the driver, and car pulls off. oh yeah he was tipping him for laundry pickup...

dc - nyc - baltimore: people do things like shout: "IVE GOT ROCKS! IVE GOT ROCKS!" or "IVE GOT BAGS!" out into the streets (not in the "nice" parts of town of course) and people walk up to them or drive up to them and purchase drugs.

Hell no. I live in a uptight suburban neighborhood. People call the cops on you if you look at their cat the wrong way or leave your trash can out a day past the collection....
 
you gotta go to the dope holes usually in my part of miami, homestead/florida city, cause it's not so much projects, but just a bad bad run down neigborhood, but the north area like opa locka and shit people just be on the corners n shit..
 
NYC has its areas. In [a] Park, if you're between 15 and 30, you can't walk through without a random scary-looking guy brushing up past you wispering "smokes, coke, X." Its crazy because its a busy place too, people walking all over the place, in broad daylight, but you'll see people just sitting there smoking joints. One time me and a friend smokes some salvia right there and nobody said anything to us

All the time. Jesus, I remember one time years ago waiting for a bus in cleveland at the terminal and watching people flip hash right on line like they were selling church raffle tickets (hillariously, the bus I had just gotten off of was searched by cops with dogs for drugs).

But it all goes back to what a friend of mine once told me that has always stuck with me: people don't care about anything that doesn't directly effect them. Most people who see this happen don't care, and don't react to stop it, because it doesn't have any effect on them. Marisposa didn't, I don't. And that's why it can happen.
