If Godandlove would have posted on a religious forum, people might have believed in his argument of dreams being a reflection of your soul but on bluelight, the brother's trouble is that many people have used drugs, and many drugs are known to alter dreams. For example, tossing on a nicotine patch when you wake up at night will make the dreams more vivid and realistic when you fall back asleep. It will also change the entire register of what you dream by stimulating another part of the brain.
If dreams are a reflection of your soul, and your soul is not material, how come a material drug such as nicotine can alter it? Also, on nicotine side effects it is mentioned that users have abnormal dreams. Does nicotine change your soul?

If you can't control your heart directly is because nature never meant for you to control it, like a car manufacturer never meant for you to control the fuel volume injected by the fuel injector, all that you can control are things like steering wheel, AC etc. because controlling the fuel injector is very very dangerous, same goes with the heart. Maybe there were organisms on Earth that could control their heart beat and they died long ago lol.
Defining the soul scientifically requires to believe in Brian Greene's String Theory and have an understanding of an infinite multiverse. We are all a complex combination of particles that keeps changing every second, but our consciousness stays the same because of memory and other things. The way the particles maintain the same consciousness is by changing configuration very slowly, so we are under the impression that we are one and the same, but if you think about yourself when you were 7 y.o., today you have almost nothing in common with that person, but from one day to another, you are almost identical.
Of course, if you change configuration brutally, like death, consciousness is lost, so I guess the configuration of a human being under which we are now is unable to maintain our consciousness forever because the slow change cannot sustain itself for long, when death occurs, there is a sudden change. Soul implies an extra dimensionality, that you can somehow communicate in between dimensions and transfer your consciousness onto something else.
Like Brian Greene stated, there are surely copies of yourself in other universes who may have a different profession or who even winded up to lead the same life as you. It's the power of infinity, it strips us of our uniqueness.

I see what you did there, you made an awful analogy that shows you have no clue how I operate or the significance of context clues... or the ability to take responsibility for the fact that we assumed only because you refused to provide any remotely specific information.
How is my energy body not under my control? Are you suggesting I might hurt people because I can't consciously control my heart rate? Are you suggesting my dreams are real and I might be mean or violent towards other people while I'm dreaming because I'm not able to lucid dream?

What he's saying is, if in your unconscious dream you tear the clothes off a woman and you rape her, you're actually doing this for real in another dimension, hurting that person...a real person...and you will pay for your sin, as going to Hell or retribution in blood or whatever false teachings he's preached so far.
He says that the only way to prevent that from happening is to learn to dream consciously, where you can be righteous, and do righteous deeds in your dreams, so that you don't hurt these people which he thinks are real.
So, his theory qualifies as mental illness. It's treatable with dopamine antagonists aka. anti-psychotics. He is basically delirious, in a rave, doesn't know what he's talking about. Of course he needs to seek professional help as none of us can lay a diagnosis without consultation.

I thought that analogy was spot on... With the whole you accusing me of saying that and I quote... "non believers are sad, lost individuals" ... I never said such thing... I said 'you will pay the piper'. Also you replied to post.. in which I replied to in which someone was accusing me of threatening other members with "HELL and punishment"
So please explain to me how my analogy for how you take my posts out of context was inaccurate?... It's dead on.
As for your other questions.... I assume your an unconscious dreamer... I advise you to go Lucid... Master the ability... Then we may be on the same level.

The difference between our assumptions and your example is that our assumptions a) were triggered by the fact that you refused to provide your own context, forcing us to guess and b) the fact that we used context clues like your username and the Christianesque nature of your ramblings to form our guesses. I, on the other hand, provided context for my statements, leaving no need for you to make assumptions. Even if I hadn't provided context there were no context clues that would give you any reason to assume I meant terrorist when I said unhinged lunatic. If anything you should have assumed I was claiming you were psychotic. But this is petty and off topic, so I won't adress it again... now onto the real discussion:
Just say you believe dreams are a real place. Say you believe that when we are asleep at night we enter another plane of existence. If you were truly confident in your beliefs you would have no reason to hide behind vagueness and gimmicky shit like using Lucid with a capital L.

I am aware of the idea of lucid dreaming, the idea that one can train themselves to recognize they are in a dream and more consciously experience it. The reason you don't like that term is because it calls it what it is, a dream. Whether you expereince your dreams blissfully unaware or you train yourself to experience them lucidly they are still just dreams. If you believe dreams are more than just thoughts inside our head then say so, if you think there is something enlightening about lucid dreaming that allows you to better live your waking life just say so, if it's something else then just say that... But quit pussyfooting around it with cop outs about how the information is sensitive and most people can't swallow it.
I think the way this world works is Absurd, and that most people develop some form of belief system as a means of eluding this Absurdity. The person being distracted by a shiny object here is you, the person that made that shiny object is also you, and the reason you are unwilling to even contemplate the fact that it is nothing more than a shiny object is that you do not want to live a life devoid of meaning in a world also devoid of meaning.
Now, what is the significance of lucid dreaming? Does it help you be a better person when you wake up? Are dreams and waking life no different? Do you just enjoy steering your dreams around?

Lucid dreaming is...becoming God. When you plunge into the dream, you create a construct, like a forest or a town. You also create people, with personalities who interact with each-other. Whatever construct you create in a dream, you are God there because if you die in reality, the whole dream vanishes. You are the cherisher, the sustainer, just the way God is defined. The only difference is, your subconscious makes you weak. It makes you like other people or less, even-though nothing about that dream could exist without you.
Eventually if you can be in control in a dream, you quickly realize it's all about you. Then you can do whatever your imagination comes up with, cast fireballs, detonate nukes...while the other people, they are at your mercy. You can even project them as being fearful of you and worshiping you. You picture them begging you not to end the dream, and let them live. If someone bothers you in there, you can make him disappear.
Not sure he's taking it this far but some people believe that the universes are the mind of God and that galaxies are like neurons in our brains, we are constructs of God's imagination, and when God dies, everything we know does. It's just wild imagination. I do have to admit that I have quite some fun with that sometimes. In a particular dream, I am in the same place, it looks like some hills in the middle of a forest with houses all around, and I'm literally invincible there with a pair of nunchuks. In other dreams I get shot in the face with weapons so that section of the brain I don't control 100%.
If he's meditating during bedtime to achieve such things it's not a bad thing but he's surely being a fruit punch about it to everyone else. There is no price to pay.
