Do other drugs...

It is theorized that MDMA in some way stimulates the brain's vasopressin system. Vasopressin is believed to be heavily involved with the way our brains experience romantic love: the chemical induces feelings of trust and empathy, and brain scans have shown the vasopressin system to be especially active when a subject is interacting with a romantic partner. If these theories are true, then in a sense, MDMA makes you fall in love with the entire world, and allows you to open yourself up to it in the same way you would to an old lover.

Now as to your question, the answer is "sort of." Drugs of another class (i.e. not MDx/bk-MDx) can also make you feel less ashamed and more open, but they not really in the same way. Some drugs in the class of GABA agonists (e.g. alcohol, GHB/GBL, benzo's) may produce similar effects by reducing the user's mental inhibitions. Other drugs, as mentioned above, can simply produce enough euphoria that the user no longer feels the anxiety which causes shame and closedness.

Oh yeah.. I read that you release high amounts of oxytocin too, which they think is why you become so empathetic, forgiving, and open. I've read a lot about oxytocin.. I should read more about vasorpessin

IMO, meth makes you feel open and unashamed and empathic in the same way that MDMA does, but to a bit of a lesser extent (The meth high is more about confidence and flying higher than you ever have before than it is about spilling your guts to a stranger).

Opiates... it's in a completely different way, but they make you feel comfortable enough to say anything to anybody. Opiates give you a very mellow "nothing could possibly bother me right now" kind of feeling, which makes you prone to saying things you normally might think twice about.

Cocaine makes you a bit more social, but IMO it doesn't do anything close to MDMA in that regard (or in any regard, really). It makes you more talkative, yes, but not more uninhibited.

ok.. I wondered if other drugs make you feel very open and unashamed like mdma does.
Like, on meth or heroin/ coke, do you feel very unashamed too? Like, when you see yourself do you see yourself as beautiful? Like you'd see yourself as "adam"

What exactly is it that makes you feel like that on mdma?

Kind of like always love yourself without always feeling people are judging you because you worry how you walk, what you wear or just don't like your appearance. The ability to do what you want and not care what others think about after you did it? Kissing the girl you've always wanted to and feel happy with courage? The ability to say the things you'd like to without feeling embarrassed?

If you mean any of those or at least similar I would have to say the closest drugs would either be the combination of Lyrica with Klonopin or Lyrica on its own at roughly 450mg.

i think it's funny you talk about "seeing yourself as beautiful" on mdma because mdma gives you the ugly face. haha

i am pretty open and unashamed without drugs. mdma made me want to say "i love you" to complete strangers... but that's just the lovey doveys. mdma helped me be more social but i have never had problems being open.

now benzos are another story haha but i'm sure you all know the deal....

When I take Vicodin, I get some confidence. I'm not sure why, but I can feel better about myself. That could just be me though, since drugs affect everybody differently.
