Do men really believe that women are their equal?

at least you are honest that you have absolutely no logical reason for the way you feel. why do you feel a woman can't make a hard decision?

lol man, I deal with this every day. TBH, I prefer if people are just straight with me and say they'd rather work with a man. At least you're upfront about it. It's terrible and I could go off on a rant, but I've learned that people are who they are and I'd rather them be in my face with this stuff than pretend like I have a chance.

I think Hillary is a cold hearted bitch, so I really doubt that she doesn't have the balls to make hard decisions.

I don't think you know the first thing about biology. I think you mistakenly believe biology backs up your presupposed theory so you mention it to give your theory more legitimacy. It's all crap though.
 
Yes I do see women as equal.

I have concerns about America electing a woman president insofar as there are many countries that do not see women as equal, some of which have a nuclear arsenal and itchy trigger fingers. Pakistan. Iran. North Korea. Others.

It would make a good piece of propaganda to say that America is disrespecting Allah by having a woman as the most powerful person in USA.

I have met women who want to be treated with respect, but would prefer to be housewives. This is fine, too. We are still equal. They would do their share as would I.

If the love we have for one another is equal, they are equal. If not, they are equal in other ways.

At work I have encountered women that do a better job than men.

This demonstrate some pretty major misconceptions about both international politics and Islamic perceptions of the USA.
Namely;
Pakistan are a US ally, and their beef (and threat as a nuclear power) is with India.
Iran have recently had sanctions lifted against them, and pose no nuclear threat to the United States.
North Korea do not have missile capabilities to launch a nuclear warhead.

Having a female US President really has nothing to do with "propaganda", in Muslim countries or elsewhere. Islamists already consider the American military to be "disrespecting Allah" (and, incidentally, international law) by supporting Israeli settlements, invading sovereign nations and deliberately bombing civilians in countries like Syria and Yemen.
A woman President really is the very least of anyone's worries.
The USA is big enough, powerful enough and (one would hope) intelligent enough to completely disregard these sorts of concerns.

I would suggest that if you respect women, you wouldn't molest them in the street, as you described in another thread -

Actually, Pakistan is a breeding ground for terrorists, in case you didn't realize. Pakistan is a quiet nuclear threat to Israel according to many academics, as is Iran.

From what I can tell, Pakistan was harboring Osama Bin Laden. Remember that?

A loss of respect for the US could lead to diplomatic tensions in the region.

A nuclear threat is as much of a concern as terrorism alone.

Syria and other rogue states are also threats.

Dirty bombs made from nuclear material obtained through Russia are also a threat when in the hands of rogue states.

"Rogue states" like the USA, Israel and Australia are a threat to world peace, but that isn't really what we are discussing here.

Gender isn't relevant - Thatcher was every bit the warmonger Tony Blair was.

Ok, ive put some thought in to your question and I think it comes down to personal experience. There has only been one women I have come across that I would look up to and admire and it's my wife.

I can't think of a single women I've met, both personal and professional, that seemed to carry much common sense or ability to make real decisions on their own. Not one.

I guess what I'm saying is, I've never met a women that I would consider a leader.

I don't know what line of work you're in but I have worked with women on more than one occasion and definitely have no problem working side by side with them. I'm not saying women aren't hard working or intelligent at all. I'm just saying I wouldn't put my faith in a women as president.
 
The whole thing with Hilary Clinton, people are going to vote for her because she is a woman which is wrong because she is a scandalous sack of shit. She is completely capable of making hard decisions because she is a human being which has nothing to do with gender. People of various gender identities or races can all be completely capable of being president or prime minister, being in positions of power but many people are going to ignore how terrible of a person she is and vote for her simply because she has a Vagina and it suits this new politically correct trend that is going on. Voting in a female president would be this huge accomplishment as far as showing that we are progressing as a society having had that first female president, just being able to have that be a reality but at what cost? I sincerely think that if she wins, Hilary Clinton will win the election just because of this and then people will be able to pat themselves on the back for being progressive. Saying you wouldn't put your faith in a woman being able to be president, why do you say that?

Woman are absolutely capable of doing all manner of what is seen at "man's work". I have seen it and I would have no problem working with a woman. I have always been skinny and have never really had an overly masculine body while doing a physical job for the past 9 years. You don't need to be really beefy and muscular to have stamina and strength. My sister is a very hard worker, climbing trees all day and pruning or cutting them down and she is just as or more capable than many of the men she works with.

You should read up on Hilary Clinton. She has made plenty of decisions in a position of power. There are woman in leadership roles all over the place. It is becoming more common as time goes on, and maybe the only woman you look up to is your wife because you let yourself respect her and view her as your equal?

i've never met a supreme court justice nor a major league baseball pitcher but i am pretty sure they both exist.

your criteria seems to be that you have to have met a specific type of person in practice in order for another instance of that type person to exist?

to me, your thinking seems a little muddled and/or limited.

Maybe so but we are all the sum of our own experiences. I think we all know it's virtually impossible to choose from the candidates based on their campaign. They all seem to lie and all seem to make false promises.

I think most people vote based on who they can relate to in one way or another and I personally would not be able to relate to a women candidate based on my experiences.

that's why it's important you fact check, read many sources. in short, inform yourself. it seems like a pipe dream in american in 2016 but the best recipe for good government is an informed, engaged electorate.

it's your vote and you get to decide how to cast it and why but that just seems a little sad and reactionary. it's crazy to think that women have only been able to vote for less than 100 years but i guess it's not that surprising in the context of opinions like yours.

call me crazy/idealistic/whatever, i think that a vote for president is a vote for the person you believe can lead. you're free to believe that only men can lead but it seems a little dated and it's an idea that the rest of the world has embraced.

I can't believe we live in a day and age where women are not considered equal by some. Everyone is different. I trust some females, I don't trust other females. I trust some males, I don't trust other males. I believe in complete equality.
If someone actually doesn't vote for a female president because she is female, your country is going to be seriously messed up by whatever racist, sexist, homophobic Republican wins. I can't say I am a huge fan of Hillary but that's not because of her gender.

I also would not date someone who didn't believe we were equals. That is very important in a relationship in my opinion.
