Wrong again, the coating is EVERYTHING. Go look it up this time I am not posting a link because it is so easy to find out...(ignorant) . The coating IS what makes the oxycodone dissolve SLOWLY. IF that coating is broken in anyway it is INSTANT RELEASE. That is why it says on the bottle not to break it because it releases "dangerous" amounts of oxycodone. Also a NAME BRAND oxycontin is not 100% time released. It in fact if swallowed WHOLE, dumps half of the oxycodone instant release... the half is extended release over 12 hours.

Anyway, I think you misunderstand the difference between agonist and antagonist. Maybe this has been covered in the thread already.. maybe you need to make a new thread. Its hard to wade through all this bullshit.

I have been on Opana for a chronic pain condition called RSD or CRPS. I was on Fentanyl patches for over a year before but could not keep my eyes open so my Dr switched me to Opana ER. I take 60mgs twice daily and I really want off of them. So I quit cold turkey and am having major withdrawals. Maybe I am just a wimp.....have never really taken meds for anything before all of this, but my seven yr old son died in my lap from cancer and he was on some major meds at the end. I just can't do this anymore I am miserable on it, and I want my life back....can't understand why anyone would do this to themselves on purpose I have felt awful since I started on any meds. I have been on the Opana since January and the withdrawals are killing me. Very fidgety, nauseated, severe severe headaches, very moody, upset stomache, want to sleep it off but can't sleep. Please help anyone i am soooo miserable and don't know what to do. I asked my Doc to take me off and he would not even hear of it, so I took matters upon myself. Mayn other side effects....does anyone know how long this crap lasts....I do have 10mg immediate relief but am trying desperately not to take them. I have been off the Opana for 57 hours and have taken 2 breakthroughs

Once your on like 60mgs+ of Methadone you get to your "Steady-State" and you STOP FEELING MOST OPIATE HIGHS (I HAVE broken through my methadone before with ONLY 2 things HIGH DOSES OF FENTANYL ( Id take a 25mcg patch/hr and have it all at once) or a Low dose Of Opana ER GOT ME HIGH TOO (5mg tab)

LOL you must have had some TERRABLE HEROIN if you had to shoot 40 bags A DAY LOL THATS A SHAME, THATS LIKE ALMOST 2 BAGS AN HOUR IF YOU GET NO SLEEP EVERY DAY, SAY YOU GET A GOOD 8 HOURS OF SLEEP THAN YOUR EASILY DOING 2 BAGS OF HEROIN AN HOUR IV???????? THATS FUCKING INSANE, YOU WOULD DEFINATLY BE DEAD OR NOT HAVE A COMPUTER SPENDING ALL THAT $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
 
I like most people around hear love opiatez. I'm currently on Opana 20ER's for torn disc and what not. But I really like dillyz, Its a hell of a close race. It depends on the route of administration I guess which one a person favors. I'm very cautious about IV'in pills. Done Dillys a few times but really I'm enjoy 60-100mg of Morphine in the mscotin or liquid form more than I enjoy a 6-8mg dilly shot. The first few seconds of a dilly shot is amazing but the long term buzz of morph is my fav. Opana unfortunately so far as I've found can't be broken down from its ER form. I gave up after wasting like 6 tabz. ): But just taking it on a full stomach had me noddin for like 11 or 12 HRz(one 20mg chewed and one 20mg un-altered). It can however be snorted for a amazing rush of numbness.
 
whoever said the coating on oxycontin is what makes the pill time released is totally wrong. It is the waxy levels inside the pill, thus the pill must be crushed for it to loose its long-acting function. However, he is right about hal the oxy being released upon ingestion and the other half over the next 8-12 hours.

Example: if you swallow an oxycontin 20 mg whole, you will get about 7-10 mg (1/3 to 1/2 the pill) instantly and the rest at a much slower rate.
 
How to IV Opana

Use water to dilute the IR opana and then use a lighter to heat it. Thats it. the cra will separate out from the liquid, and it is decent.

Ya or just one 10mg Opana Ir blasted me off and I could barley stay awake I'm sorry guys i think Opana IR hands down, weather ya bang it, snort it, IM it, plug it or hell you can even eat the fuckers and get trashed. But I'm a pain patiance, with that being said I still like to drool on my self sometimes%) . Just as a warning though Opana IR or ER are very easy to OD on I died for 17 sec. from taking a 40 Er and snorting 2 ten IR and I have a hefty tolerance(like a 30mg ER twice daily and tenz for breakthrough pain)!!! Word to the wise be cautious, for everyones sake!!! The 8 mg of xanax I took prob. didn't help that situation.=D

That won't be an easy task. I've been trying to do that for a few years now. Always end up goning back on. Easy availability and PAWS combine to do me in every time.
