Differences between American and European drug culture

Okay, to get this out of the way, the most obvious trend is that you Euro's like mixing your tobacco with your hash/weed. In America, if you brought that upon someone out of the blue, we'd all think "what the fuck is wrong with you?".

It'd be interesting if we could keep adding to this... especially people who have spent time in both regions and experienced both, in whatever drug subculture it was. Broad generalizations welcome too as this is a broad topic.

So just add on if you want. And please feel free to take cheap shots at the US and vice versa on you Euro-trash because it's gonna happen, just don't get easily offended. And I guess you Kangaroo's get to count as Europe.

One clear difference is that we Europeans know how to correctly use apostrophes.

Its Euros. Not Euro's.

Honestly.. none us like saying or typing the word Euros. It's a sound you'd make before barfing.

Aesthetically, I like "Euro's" better. Not Euros, that's money. Is it correct? No. If America takes out a shank will the Oxford Dictionary etch out the apostrophe in Euro's? Yes.


(p.s. you're great; gay or straight, you're straight with me. I know it was just a grammar comeback, but not enough people are defending the Old World.)

of course ive heard of poppers but you must be nasty as fuck to smoke that. Why not top it off with some dried shit while youre at it? I can understand in joints, but your weed is hella bad if you need to put tobacco with it in a bong to get that shitty 10 second nicotine rush. Or is it just to make the bong smell like ass and ruin the weed? Anyways if its the rush you want so bad just put some tobacco instead of weed, youll get the rush. Btw i smoke cigs,alot,but this poppers shit is utterly disgusting

Hey don't get my anti Quebec hate speech confused, I agree with you, and to previous posters we are aware on nitrates (and call them poppers too). I personally like a little tobacco with weed (at least I did back when I smoked), but poppers are killing a generation of northern Ontario kids. And not just the nasty kids either, all sorts of kids smoke pops. But I must admit it seems strange that you are against poppers if you smoke a lot of cigs.. In my experience the only way I could achieve a nicotine rush was from a little bit of tobacco in a bowl.

And also in my experience if you clean your bong once every week or two and use players or dumauriers and good weed it really doesn't affect the smell of you bong (unless you rip poppers through it)

around my way (ireland) we tend to put tobacco in a joint, we tend to only put weed in bongs, although, ive seen a few people put tobacco and weed in a bong which I think is weird as fuck.
 
I don't smoke any more...but if I was rolling a joint with the really firm sorta wet nuggets I would get in Syracuse I would add tabacoo to make it burn evenly. The difference really comes down to coke. It is good in the states.

thats the only case i agree tobacco can be useful. But i would jsut let tthem dry lol.

Nah its cools sorry if i overeacted i get assholish sometimes when im loaded. I stopped smoking weed a few months ago because of a long story including a nasty ass E and a chain of events which followed. When i first started smoking,the first year and a half id get varying quality m-39 (fucking hte it)when i had lilttle money and i mixed iit with baccy cuz it tastes like shit anyways and awaas very often damp and short on growing. But when i had money for jack herrer,hashplant,bluberry and all that i smoked it pure in bongs or joitns. In the years that followed i only smoked grade A shit, the only time i would include tobacco was when i smoked it in blunt form, and the tobacco was the wrap, lol never baccy with weed + a blunt wrap, thats even worse than baccy in bongs. I would smoke my cig after the joint or bowl. I just find, especially with good ganj, it just ruins the taste. And its worse for the lungs trhan smoking cigs with a filter. Im curious why you dont like quebec? Because im born here but i have 0 quebec genes in me, 100 % europeean. I despise some things too here. Peoples judgenmental atiitude especially.

iv never tried em, because they are sold in some seedy porn shops in TO and they (iv been told) don't say whether they are amyl or isopropyl etc. iv heard bad thing about anything that's not amyl... I loved nitrous for a while and want to try diethyl ether and chloroethane but in general inhalants don't do it for me.

its all good man lol I came off insulting in the first place. its not Quebecers as a whole I hate. its the quebec separatist/government I hate... stopping important thing because they voted against something JUST because everyone else voted for it. and always talking about separating. and the whole French atmosphere of fancy prudyness. iv met a lot of fine quebec girls and cool English speaking head shop owners in quebec city and out in the country. and who doesn't love a 18yo drinking age and being able to sell native cigs and wine to any age.

I tried a couple brands one time. Felt like a hot semi-euphoric but pretty uncomfortable rush that lasted a minute, weird body load. Maybe with certain combos or while climaxing it'd be awesome?


And yeah, they are known for being used in gay club scenes, don't know if they were/are ever that prevalent tho. Once that word got out I think straight guys got less curious about the drug heh. I only found out about them a few years back when I was all about nitrous.

ahh i see where the hate coming from e haha i hate the separatist movement too,they are litteraly too stupid to realise the wholeQuebec economy is going to go down da toilet if they separate. I dont like the judgenmental people too, everywhere i get these looks from older people like look a drug addict (dont know, i guess i just give off the vibe) ohhhhhhh they can blow me lol . And with younger people its the oppposite i get approcahed as a hookup,im never down becuz you never know who might a be narc. Fine quebec girls are verrrry nice ;) . One thiong though, i despise the fucking native cigs. One batch i had, and this is really strange, whenever i would light one it would smell EXACTLY like crack. I had ashtma attacks and a bad pneumonia a month smoking these fuckers. I know its wasnt coke, no way anybody is stupid enough to lace cigs with that...some chemicals probably. I just hate the whole way the cig is made and all. I like exports and mcdo's when low on cash

Have a friend who got a train to Montreal while ago, and when he got there, he and his girl realized he left his wallet and id back in the States and they were freaking out waiting for a taxi, and a Canadian overheard, started talking... long story short, he bought them a meal and ate with them, gave them 40 bucks, and let them use his phone to try and get some cash wired. He saved their whole week, just a random canuck.

It was mostly random luck i have to say...and a person with a good heart. Because most of the Quebecers, not all, but most of them are maybe politer than americans but they jsut dont give a fuck about you and your problems. There are exceptions of course,but dont get the idea that the whole quebec is nice like thaht lol
