difference between strains of weed and hash

Been smoking lots of Cheese and Ak-47 lately, in all honesty I can't really tell the difference, the AK tastes fruiter and nicer than the cheese it definately smells great, if I were a snobby twat I'd say it has an amazing exotic buquet :) , in terms of effects I've been getting mildly paranoid off both, bu that might just be my less than ideal mental state at the moment.

There will be some Northern Lights around soon too, but the ladies didn't look too healthy the last time I checked at my mate's place.

Of all the strains I've had lately my fav would be the LA Confidential that was plentiful a while back, but then I was happier and more kratomed, so that probably influenced my enjoyment of the weed.

Im a bit of a weird one, i get a bit of anxiety whether it be drug induced or not but if im smoking weed sativa strains have me feeling perfect. If its a hybrid or heavy indica then im para as fuck quite strange.

The nicest weed iv had the pleasure of burning recently has been "chocolope". Now if it was actualy that or not i have no idea, you know how the dealers are these days, but the smoothest least anxiety inducing strain iv smoked in a while, no mong of it either. Shame the prick got busted and i only managed to pick up a half O *sighs* time to pull out the growing gear i suppose ;)

afghani#1 is my strain of choice due to sativas making me feel anxious after a bowl of that i get no anxiety and basically couch locked for a long time,,,,,

In the news today there is much talk of the first woman in Britain to die from cannabis toxicity. Although the 'experts' are saying that this is virtually impossible and there must have been underlying medical problems, it got me thinking that maybe adulterated cannabis could be the problem. I know from experience that some of the synthetic cannabinoids are bloody horrendous and can feel very toxic, and I can imagine someone with a dodgy ticker being tipped over the edge with that stuff. A quick google earlier showed that whereas deaths directly attributable to cannabis were once unheard of, they seem to have got more frequent (though far from common) this century. The obvious answer to this is to grow yer own and IMO, this is the first step that the government should take to address the WOD problem.

There's talk of her being a bit of a raver, & also suggestions that her herb may have been laced with cannabinoid RC's.

One things pretty fucking certain, no-one can die from smoking cannabis.

Well, my understanding is that cannabis does actually significantly raise the risk of heart attack. I think most people can attest that cannabis does produce cardiac strain. It doesn't kill people through the straightforward toxicity in overdose of something like heroin or secobarbital, and it is obviously one of the oldest and safest recreational drugs, but it can give your heart bother.

Like almost anything that's fun including sex

Well, sure, and in the same way that those with cardiac issues are discouraged from any vigorous exertion because it increases the risk of a heart attack, they should probably avoid smoking weed, too.

Dunno man, there's a debate there about quality of life vs life threatening. And I don't believe cannabis is life threatening.

This judgement is unbelievably political and with no direct evidence. File under "iffy suspected cannabis deaths reported 100%, alcohol related deaths reported 0.0000000001%"

The coroner found no obvoius cause of death & has simply presumed that the cannabinoids present were the cause.

I think something like cocaine would increase the risks of heart problems much, much more than cannabis...

Yeah, I don't think anyone's disputing that cannabis is less hard on the heart than cocaine, but that's not saying much, given that cocaine is a cardiotoxic vasoconstricting stimulating local anaesthetic. It doesn't seem like a good judgment by the coroner, yeah it's not the biggest risk. I mean, taking a poo raises the risk of a heart attack. I'm not saying don't do it. Can you say "no-one can die from taking a shit", though?

Maybe not but I wanna see those poo deaths reported with equal prominence in The Times.

I'm all for a war on shit.

I'd like to see them not only reported on, but blamed on illegal Romanian immigrants in the Mail, if possible.

I understand Elvis Presley died on the shitter, whether that's true or not, & whether or not he died actually taking a dump, I have no idea...

If cannabis was indeed very bad for the heart, I really think the establishment that has spent 100 years demonising this fucking drug might have noticed that & blathered on & on & one about it, no?

Firstly, this is obviously a terrible thing to have happened however it happened and in no way do I mean to take anything away from that. I am, however, deeply suspicious over whether the cause was actually cannabis. Obviously I - nor anybody else here - can really know for sure and is but speculation, but I strongly suspect that this was actually synthetics not cannabis itself.

"The level of cannabinoids in the blood were 0.1 to 0.15 milligrams per litre, this is considered as moderate to heavy cannabis use.

If, as is suggested in the article (although there seems to be some dispute between friends and family) she was a fairly light user of cannabis - a joint at night to help sleep, couple of grammes a week (fits with one joint a night) - it seems unlikely to have enough cannabinoids in the system to show as moderate-heavy use. Her friend suggested that it was more than that (£60 worth - guess it depends how good the deals were as to how much that is) I guess that would count as moderate-heavy use, but doesn't fit with one joint a night. Either way, if she really had only smoked half a joint before bed it seems a lot to be in the system. Synths are potent buggers and that seems to fit better with the reported facts to me. A sudden, sharp spike in concentration rather than longterm background levels.

Half of a joint was found underneath her body and a wrapper containing brown and green leaves of the class B drug was discovered in her handbag.

Again, this sounds more like generic "herbal material" which is used as a substrate for a coating of synthetics. I can't see any regular smoker buying brown leaves - or leaves at all for that matter.

"She suffered from depression and was on prescription drugs to try and deal with that although it would not appear she was taking them at the time of her death.

Not suggesting this would be a direct cause of death, but perhaps could contribute as antidepressants tend to have quite intense physical withdrawal effects if stopped suddenly CT style. Obviously it would depend on the antidep and any other medications involved, but if the body was stressed with antidep withdrawal symptoms and what she smoked was a lot more intense than expected, it seems a more likely situation for things to go wrong. Death does seem extreme but the plethora of synth noids are very new, very untested chemicals and we're already on about the third or fourth generation away from the orignal ones that at least had some small amount of research done on them afaik. And even if they did have some research behind them it was precious little.

I've been becoming more and more suspicious about these synths, and there have been a number of reports of hospitilasations and general iffiness recently. As I said, I - nor any of us - knows for sure but my suspicions lie firmly at the door of synthetics and I don't think I want to be using them anymore - not because of this specifically but it is definitely going on my 'Cons' pile when weighing up whether or not to continue using them.

I had a very brief dalliance with synthetic cannabinoids, purely because I couldn't get the proper stuff. But that was enough to make me get off my arse and find the real deal. I honestly don't know how anyone can smoke that shit on a regular basis :?
