I am recently getting off heroin once again , and using Suboxone to do it ..............So while i am trying to taper the suboxone since i dont want to be stuck on it forever I also want to eat better and quit smoking but i think I am doing too much at once. I just am so hard on myself and always say if i dont do it all , i never will..............I cut down to 3-4 smokes last 2 days , but my diet is so bad. I am a really picky eater, and hate most healthy things. I dont know how to start eating better , at all..............
Any advice ,? im so overwhelmed with all this

Read this article. It's easy to read, and full of solid information, and the basics on nutrition and what to eat. Just please at least read the link.

As far as the sub, good luck on your taper down..

As far as smoking, I recently started again myself, but in the very near future I plan to cold turkey them, I smoked for 10 years then quit for 2, dumbly picked them up like 3 months ago...

3-4 cigs a day is better then a pack a day! Work on getting it down to one a day, then one every other day.

Good luck. Hope your alright in time for your trip to Europe

thanks man . howd you know about my trip ? yeah im real stressed. tapering sub and trying to quit smoking is rough , and the eating aint easy either

I don't know if I really have any good advice to give you but just wanted to give you my best wishes with your endeavor.
I recently (2 1/2 weeks!) ago decided to cold turkey my Oxymorphone habit & quit cig's at the same time.
I've also done what your doing & switched up to eating healthier.
Well I didn't eat to awfully terrible in the first place but I'm now doing an all Organic healthy type stuff diet & it seems to working out so far.
Working out seems to really help a lot with feeling better / getting off opiates.
Well it helped me a large degree, though I was quite dejected by my underlying health issues making a lot of the workouts I wished to do impossible but I digress.
Anyways I'm probably just rambling as I haven't really been on BL much since quitting Oxymorphone/Oxycodone/Etc. as I lived in OD
but I figured I'd give Healthy Living a shot & your thread struck home as I felt it was similar to my situation.

I guess the main reason I'm saying all this is that I'm feeling quite decent overall besides my under lying health issues
& wanted to use that statement as a way of saying give it time & hopefully everything should work out good for you.
May you have the best of luck & I hope things improve for you.
It may be tough but in the long run it's more than likely for the best or it seems that way to me anyways. :)

quitting cigs is so damn hard
and im such a picky eater so its hard to change that too , i hate so many foods ,

i do too. my old roommate is fully enveloped into the "lifestyle" and it actually inspired her to get into the culinary arts because she wanted to make more accessible meals that were solely paleo. she eventually wants to open a restaurant with the same ideals. i wish that i still lived with her, because she really was beginning to hone some really fantastic concoctions that were healthy and nutritious.

I went to culinary school and dont eat have of the food we learned to make. stupid huh ? and i dont like working in these restaurants ive been working in the chefs are real jerks usually
