Detailed explanations of different highs from different opiates.

Propoxyphene is mediocre but you can get a moderately high dose if you chew it up for an hour or snort it.

Ugh, I hate that garbage. I found a bottle of Darvocet a month back, 100mg propoxyphine Napsylate. I found the buzz to feel like a really dirty methadone high (which makes sense as they are chemically related from what Ive read), and it made me feel really loopy. However, I heard that propoxyphine HCL (Darvon) is a lot better, as it kicks in faster than the Napsylate (which is also not water soluble, making CWE impossible). Either way though, Darvon/Darvocet is really dangerous, because even though it is weak as shit as far as analgesia goes, it metabolizes into norpropoxyphine, which is a powerful anaesthetic which can kill you.

Yeah propoxyphene is useless, someone gave me a few once, shitty, dirty buzz.

Honestly, I think people differentiate between opiates a bit too much. I consider than all fairly interchangeable, with the main difference being duration and the level of histamine release (as well as formulation, obviously).

^yeah, I agree. IMO, without a tolerance, hydrocodone, oxycodone, heroin, methadone, buprenorphine etc all feel pretty much the same. I remember there was a period of time when I abstained frm opiates for eight months, and took 15mg of hydrocodone. It felt like I had sniffed a bag of heroin, just slightly more stimulating.

The main difference are really only Drastically noticeable when it comes to duration, onset and ROA. For instance, when insufflated, I find that heroin and oxycodone produce pretty similar, almost identical highs (though I still prefer heroin-oxy is more nausea inducing for me). However, when you inject heroin and oxycodone, there is a very noticeable difference. Heroin is long lasting and gives an incredibly powerful rush, wheras IV oxycodone has no rush, and it's duration is short as hell. However, IV Oxymorphone and IV heroin are pretty much identical, though Opana gives a slightly more intense rush.

Still though, I do believe there are some opioids which give a noticeably different buzz, such as fentanyl, which is cold and IMO to euphoric at all.

Yeah Fent was an acquired taste for me. I found it almost dysphoric at first, was only after using it a few times that I came to appreciate and enjoy it.

Which is another factor, they tend to change over time as you gain tolerance and experience with them, and your tolerance the first time you use them will wildly affect how much you enjoy them.

I found fentanyl to be very dysphoric at first too, then after a while, it got a little better, but not really, you just get used to the sedation, which was overwhelming at first, through all the ROAs. So fentanyl sucks IMO, it should not be used recreationally, I know I couldn't justify it, at least, not anymore.
