Depression, Anxiety, LSD & Me.

It seems like your depression anxiety is caused by being socially deprived; not the other way around. Do you know how to talk to people? Not coming on to strong, not being too uptight, giving them time to speak, and so on. You seem bright.
I had a lot of social discouragement when I was younger and am looking at it from the other side of the glass now, too many friends, everybody thinks I am unique, it is embarassing that people care about me because the emotions and the difficulty trusting. But there are a lot of interesting people, from all "walks" of life and they have a lot of things to teach me.
I really think that is ultimately where you need to go and will feel needed and special, perhaps your social history has been unpleasant. I do not know enough about you. How do you see yourself, what do you do?

I think what you need is a good therapist rather than drugs. Someone you can trust and confide in and share your pain with, while developing less anxiety about relating socially.

If therapy isn't viable, do some research into ketamine and depression.

No there may be some feeling of being down, but not in a way so you'll commit suicide. Alcohol hangover is equally as bad for me.

MDMA is important because if a person is chronically anxious, one may not have had a peacefully moment in adult life. Getting a taste of some sort of sanity can be revelatory

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't medicines abused as it is? I mean, if it is just taken to correct the symptoms but cannot restore a person. I have the assumption that people "born" with problems just learn how to live with it. That it has more to do with us accepting them that anything else.
Shouldn't we be looking at the whole system and not just getting particular drugs put on the shelves?

I def. agree that people should accept one another, it seems that in this culture, no matter what, you just can't be accepted. Human beings are just unacceptable.
But no, psychedelics are healing spontaneously. It's not just covering up the symptoms, like is done with our "medicine". It opens up, so pain can be expressed. This is taboo. But it works.

I just saw a quote from Huxley the other day

"To increase the concentration of CO2 in the lungs and blood and so
to lower the efficiency of the cerebral reducing valve, until it will admit
biologically useless material from Mind-at-Large - this, though the shouters,
singers, and mutterers do not know it, has been at all times the real purpose
and point of magic spells, of mantrams, litanies, psalms, and sutras."
- - "Heaven and Hell", by Aldous Huxley

This is breathing, but biologically useless materiel is what the body will be unleashing spontaneously under the use of psychs., thus curing neurosis, anxiety, depression etc.

I'd like to say that PD is not a place to ask for people to recommend which drugs to take. It's fine to discuss the potential of a specific compound to alleviate this-or-that affliction, but this isn't the Bluelight Association of Witch Doctors, don't take two of these and call us in the morning.

So now I'm trying an "unorthodox" approach. Does DMT ignore anti depressants and work for someone suffering from major depression and anxiety? Or am I shit out of luck?

If you're considering dosing while having been prescribed pharmaceuticals, the best idea is to ask your psychiatrist about potential drug interactions. You should also check the list of potentially dangerous drug combinations.

If it helps I'm a victim of sexual abuse and I'm convinced thats where my depression and anxiety "stem" from. It is hoped thru the use of psychedlics I can cure or otherwise treat myself since everything else has failed to help to date.

:(

Remember, every part of your brain and body still functions just like any other. You can get better.

No psychedelic breakthrough or revelation has ever been a magical cure for me. Caveat emptor.

All that being said... If you're going this route I'd recommend ketamine before LSD or DMT any day.
