Boy are you in for a rude awakeining!!
Oxycontins are OVER!!!
Purdue horse fucked us all there mr. newbie.
The generics have been discontinued and soon will not be in stock as they are being phased out to make room for the new, abuse proof OP's.
And this really sucks.
This is not true. Generics are available just not for every strength since Purdue still holds the patents (for the old formulation) on some of them. It seems highly unlikely that the generic companies (Mallinkrodt, Teva, Ethex, etc.) will spend money on R&D to make an abuse proof pill and submit an NDA. Generics are readily available for 80s through Ethex; i'll check on the other strengths tomorrow. Even if generics turn out to be scarce for the other strengths they'll have a new DEA production quota soon anyway so as it seems with everything surrounding this drug it's a matter of patience.
On a side note I tried to grab an ingredients list off the bottle when we got our first shipment in a few weeks ago but unfortunately they don't include one. I think it might be worth while calling Purdue and asking for the ingredients due to allergy condition/hyper sensitivity to a wide range of compounds. I believe they'd be obligated to at least divulge some information lest be held liable due to complications from one of the inactives. Worth a shot. =P
