yeah i wondered about that.
Columbia? don't they mean Colombia .
Sounds strange, Chinese people importing Meth into Oz from a South American country that isn't really a producer of meth.

As I recall it first started showing up in the late 90's, but only really became big after the heroin drought of, I think it was 2001?
And yeah, there are huge industrial scale labs over in the golden triangle. Unlike heroin, meth doesn't rely on agricultural cycles.
*chuckles and smiles* pretty wild time that was..mid naughties
Im not sure that drugs fall very well into the classic model of this at least with drugs whose users have a high rate of addiction as it is usually based on the consumer having a choice to use their money for something else which doesn't really fit with addiction. This ia also the concept behind why health care has such a hard time in a free market where supply is reduced on purpose by health care providers but demand is nontraditional as everyone who becomes sick usually values their life over everything else and has no choice but to need to get better... I guess unless its addiction which many people value their DOC over health, but that just goes to show that drugs like meth will likely not follow a traditional S & D model. Also competition is so limited because of the black market.opp to supply and demand
