U could tell they were referring to MAOIs that Andy was on, causing serotonin syndrome.
Jack said at the hospital, the doctors said her anti-deps are a time bomb if taken with a lot of things. (this is true of MAOIs, people on these things are advised not even to eat cheese.)
SSRIs: regular use; MDMA has less effect, not dangerous.
Taking one an hour into a roll, very dangerous; traps an enormous amount of serotonin in the synapse. -> serotonin syndrome.
Taking one at the end of a roll as we all know meant to be rather beneficial. U trap your last little bit of serotonin in the synapse, allowing a smoother come-down and allegely reduced neurotoxicity.
I agree with rc1n and someone on the first page. I think its good that the target audience, mid-teens, would see something like this. I despair at 15-16yr old people i know taking pills more often than i do; and with about 1% of the knowledge that most of us possess.
However i think it would have been better to have her collapse from dehydration/overheating. U saw that she never stopped running around or drank. And the other girl spent the whole time trying to find her to give her water.
Most of these kids will be like, "well she was on medication, i'm not, so i'll be fine." But heat exhaustion and other problems could happen to anybody; and hence i think would have had a greater impact.
Better this aimed at impressionable young 16yr olds than the utter crap on 60 minutes earlier in the year aimed at the middle age fools running our society.
