Dark And Fucked Up Movies

Gummo was directed by Haromny Korraine SP? The Writer not director of Kids, just to correct you but do agree it is rather Fucked Up
For me its not really Dark but Fucked Up well just the ending of it would have to be SleepAway Camp, If you have seen it then you understand why I think the ending is FUCKED UP, The Movie itself is just a Really Cheesy Campy 80's slasher who is doing it flick but its just when you finally find out who is Doing it, your like OOOOOKAY, saw it when I was like 12 and everytime I have watched it since it still Fucks with me but thats just me

Why doe's everyone say requiem??The only thing i found dark about this movie was the "ass 2 ass"at the end.
The scene made me so fucking depressed.
The first horror movie i saw is still the darkest in my mind.
"i spit on your grave" about a woman that's gang raped then takes revenge on the rapist's.I was fucking 11 years old,my cousin shouldn't have shown me that movie.
Also in B movie type of way "bloodsucking freaks" is pretty fucking sick.Unfortunately i think i'll always remember the hot dog dick ending.
Oh,and "spanking the monkey"i think that's the right name.All about a guy that fucks his mom(she's so hot too!!)

i remember that movie. i must have been 7 or 8, but i can vaguely remember it.
i would probably just say alot of the same movies others have listed, Requiem For a Dream made me feel sick. another movie that was fucked up, Boys Don't Cry. i wouldn't say Donnie Darko was dark and fucked up cuz it left me with such a good feeling.

No-one's said Pink Flamingos? Now *that* is one seriously disturbing, fucked-up movie (although maybe it doesn't count, seeing as the original post said 'good movies').
I found In the Realm of the Senses pretty disturbing (seriously) - though not too dark.
 
se7en fucked with me big time! The ending is one to remember!
Memento was a little messed up. The way Carrie Ann Moss fucks with Guy Pearce's mind really freaks me out. I guess it isn't so dark; just fucked up how everyone takes advantage of him. Maybe it was just me...
 
Also, saw a movie recently
called ANGEL (not the early
80s schoolgirl-turned-whore-
turned-avenging angel)...
it was about a woman who can
predict the future and is
employed as a stripper in this
bar... all of the characters
are entwined in the plot and
the movie does an EXCELLENT
job at getting you in the
head of the protagonist (the
stripper)....
nicely done... and the way the
movie is laid out reminds you
of MOMENTO but pre-dates that
movie.

I've heard so much but just want to know what it's about before order it....

L.I.E. was a relatively good movie, but I definitely wouldn't consider it "dark." It was like a coming of age type thing.
I will agree that The Virgin Suicides was a good movie that is, indeed, dark in it's own realm.

To show them who's boss, the government select a random school class every year and send them to an island with an explosive necklace on. They arm them with random weapons (eg one kid gets a machine gun, another kid gets a frying pan) and tell them that if there is more than one kid left by the end of 3(?) days, all the necklaces will blow up.
So its basically a bunch of Japanese school kids blowing eachother to pieces on an island. Disturbed, but excellent :)
