Parents were yesterday urged to warn their children of the dangers of experimenting with drugs after a 16-year-old girl died of a suspected Ecstasy overdose. Serena Harding, who wanted to become a fashion designer, collapsed after apparently taking the rave drug in a country park. Her companions are believed to have abandoned her as she began having trouble breathing. Serena was found by passers-by who dialled 999. Last night her grieving parents Diana, 47, a holistic therapist, and father Kenneth, 54, said they had never dreamt she would take illegal drugs and said her death left ‘a huge hole in our lives that can never be filled’.
Toxicology results are awaited before the drug which Serena had taken can be confirmed.
Asked why her friends hadn’t dialled 999, Chief Inspector Hussey would only say: ‘If people have been involved in taking drugs, you can’t really judge their actions.’

Another young life wasted. Young people nowadays are supposed to be so intelligent, so why don't they listen? How many warnings do they need? Drugs are DANGEROUS that's why they are ILLEGAL.

Another unnecessary death from drugs. They will not learn will they! Red Flag me if you want, but the youth have got to learn that ALL drugs are bad, and if you take them, there is a high risk you will pay the ultimate price.
