Daft Punk!

I heard Daft Punk spin at Twilo in the late 90s and it was some of the best dj work I've ever heard.

daft punk has been amazing for years and years, their cd's give them no justice when u see them live they were down here in miami last november, my first nite tryign some candies and it was just the best performance ive seen to date hands down, their set blows away any pvd or tiesto sets ive seen at ultra or any other events ive been to.

lol saw them at berkeley last month and it was one of the best live shows i have ever seen! they dont mix sets together like other dj's, the visuals beat everybody elses, and when the bass come in, wow... saw tiesto the next night at a show twice as big, and was "disappointed" with the sound, compared to Daft Punk the night before

Yeah i found Electroma to be boring and pointless, halfway tolerable when i watched it at 8X speed. Maybe I had way too high expectations I was just super disappointed.

Thanks for posting that AmorRoark... I missed their set in Berkeley recently and I'm still killing myself over it...

That setup is the shit... incredibly expensive too.

It makes sense they would use Ableton as the backbone of the show because of the way you can seemlessly swap pads and sounds and improvise on the fly...

BUT...

the pair say they are thrilled with how West's track turned out, having heard first heard it on Los Angeles station Power 106 while waiting for a recent flight to San Francisco.

"The DJ had made an edit of our song at the beginning and then it turned into his song," de Homem-Christo says. "Our song had a good sound, but when he put Kanye's record on, the sound was really fat. It sounds really big. It's not a collaboration in the studio, but the vibe of the music we do separately connected in what he did with the song."

me too. kanye's song is utter shit.
 
i'd like the kanye song, if i didn't have to hear kanye's voice. The production i feel actually improved what daft punk originally did. The voices are deeper, the beat has more bass to it. I generally like the sound far better, but god i hate kanye.
 
how fuckin weird is this....

i keep hearing about you guys going to see daft punk, and so i intended to ask this dude i work with at a meeting if he's heard anything about them coming here. i got sidetracked and didn't. but then during the meeting he busts out with "hey rob, did you know daft punk are coming".
