Cure for the cold?

Stims + hanging around shirtless in the snow is good times. So long as you go back inside once you cool off, of course.
 
Ecstasy tends to cure most colds - perhaps because it boosts your body temperature and fries the lurgy?
 
I found when I took speed with a cold it'd clear it right up but the after effects weren't worth it and moderation wasn't in my vocabulary back then

Looking at wikipedia for the method of action of psuedoephedrine, I'd guess that it's the vasoconstrictive effects of speed that cause the decongestive effect. It's probably better to stick to sudafed though, although then again if you'd be taking the speed anyway you can't complain about it unblocking your nose on the side.
 
Yeah, that makes sense. Sudafed is definitely the way forward, I think although it was a nice added bonus at times yes :D
 
Lemsip nowadays is made using phenylephrine, not pseudoephedrine, since the latter can be converted to crystal methamphetamine. Phenylephrine is no good for making crystal meth; it also gets beaten by placebos, but hey, better they have colds than get high, right?

I've got a cold at the moment. where can I get some strong placebos?
 
Oy Sprout, get yer mod stick out! This thread has suffered a serious derailment by degenerating into a serious discussion of common cold remedies rather than the intended lighthearted frivolity of smartarsed comments such as: "set fire to yourself", or: " emigrate to the sun", or even: "turn the heating on". I am appalled by this blatant disregard for the forum guidelines...
 
Sorry! Emigrating to the sun ASAP as I am not allowed to turn the heating on here, my father guards the thermostat like a dragon guards treasure

A laptop is a good temporary cure for the cold, if it is shit like mine and prone to overheating. Deep heat is also good in a pinch.
