ive never done opium before i just bought something that is supposed to be opium but its clear crystals that i was told to crush and sprinkle on a bowl... i really dont kno... was i just bunked out or what
 
Opium is the sap from the pod (ovary) of the poppy plant. Its a kind of latex-ish goo that turns brown as it dries. There is no way it would ever crystallize, and even if it did it wouldn't be clear.

It could be purified alkaloids from the sap, but its unlikely that anyone would do that when there is such a market for opium.

So no, you don't have opium. It could be an opiate chem of some sort, but if the guy could get away with selling you comething like that as opium, he could get away with selling you salt or anything else about as easily.
 
you are one lucky fuck if it is fentanyl, and that guy is an asshole for trying to kill you.....but more than likely nothing, or MAYBE meth.

tell us about the effects...
 
I have had crystallized opium years ago, it was pinkish in color and I can attest to it being pretty legit. Back in the day, the homies would sell black gooey incense at dead shows and pass it off as opium to unsuspecting travelers. I have never had good opium that was black or gooey in nature.
 
you cant make a single compound out of the 3 different alkaloids and it be the same thing...well the 3 main ones i meant. and who the fuck would go through all that trouble to see to people that couldnt appreciate it?
 
This guy tried to sell me "opium crystals" at bonnaroo last year and I started laughing. Then four or five people came up behind the guy and said that they'd just smoked some and that they didn't know if it was opium, but it was definitely something. The guy ended up coming back to our campsite with us later where I tried some, then bought 3.5g off him. It was a STRONG opiate or opiate-like substance which kicked in almost instantneously after smoking. Not sure what it was, but we had fun with it for a long while after bonnaroo.
 
Fuck that. No way I'm smoking an unidentified substance that may or may not kill me, being sold as something with totally different physical characteristics.

If someone doesn't know what they have, or can't/won't tell me, they can do without my business. I don't support people like that... even if I know what it was anyway.
 
Well, I was looking at more than a few individuals who looked faded as fuck after smoking some. I'm glad now that I did try it and had the opportunity to buy more. If I saw dude again I'd probably get more. He was telling me exactly what he thought he had. I knew it probably wasn't possible. I just assumed he somehoew got his hands on this stuff and was severely misinformed.

Fizz is correct...

People get "faded" after insuflatting "white - out." That does not mean that I want to emulate those geniuses. As far as we know, we only have one life, it is too precious to live life as a "garbage head." Protect yourself.
 
Actually you can refine the opium latex into a sometimes clear but mostly light brown tan crystaline form. So yeah, maybe you guys should read up on Opium production a little more before spouting off that it cant be done (Dexter and K'd) Look to shroomery and possibly the nook for pictures and teks about this. :)
 
ive smoked enough of this now to believe it is either opium or some other opiate/downer type drug... its good, i like it. whatever it is im not worried cause it makes me happy
