it has been psychologically proven that those with larger accumulated wealth do not appreciate small pleasures as much. equally, it has been psychologically proven that lots of small pleasurable events ~ happiness. therefore, contrary to popular belief, once you have all your basic needs filled, money buys not happiness, but makes it harder to acheive.
