amebix-6/10- Obviously, there's only guitar, but it seems like you have good rhythm, and maybe a solid punk song in there. I'm personally not a big punk fan, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

entheo- 4/10- I see the talent, but the song as a whole doesn't make sense to me, and generally isn't my cup of tea.

Caustic Resin - Mysteries of ... Hold Your Head Up

BTW, it seems like this thread seems hampered by a lack of expectations, so be forewarned that this clip is almost 10 mins long and OK quality. However, if you like some noisy psychedelia, proceed.

Also, just noticed I somehow was on the previous page, so those critiques are for the songs at the bottom of page 7.

Well...It was unbelievable I listened to as much as I did of that crap. Caustic Resin(Horrible) = True. I couldn't hear the singer due to over-amped guitars and a psychotic drummer, but he sounded like he may have been good. I only heard two chords repeated the whole time and they sucked. This was like going to a really bad party where the band forgot they were supposed to play after drinking about two cases...

Maynard is such a great vocalist and with A Perfect Circle it's much easier to see his talent soar. Adversely, with Tool, it's difficult to fully grasp his voice through the heavy sounds. Anything he touches is gold(Midas, Maynard...Coincidence?). Although, this isn't my favorite APC tune, it is still easy to listen to and pleasant to hear.

Warning to Christians...Don't click.(You've been warned.)

warning to christians? lol that was like begging for a christian womans click~
anywayz...
i love this tune. it's all spiritually twisted and kinky tabooey-BeeDeeEssEmmy. it evokes an emotional response even if you dont know what he's talking about until you look up the lyrics. his voice and the music seem to be coming from way deep inside the soul.
