Crazy stoner idea

A nitrous bong. I don't have actual plans for it, but it would be something like this. A normal bong, but no water in it. It's got a carb/shotgun where it usually would have one. BUT, opposite the carb, would be a large opening where a one-way valve and hoseline would attach. This line woul dbe connected to NITROUS. Either from a balloon, a whipped cream charger, or a tank. So, right, you hit the bong and the nitrous flows out of the one way valve. So you get just weed smoke, and nitrous. Then you clear it to get air and shove all that smoke and nitrous in your lungs. But the nitrous would only fill the chamber while you covered the carb, it would need alot of suction to open, dig?

Is this idea feasible? It's pretty dangerous I'd bet. Is nitrous flammable? Any thoughts, ideas?
 
I have no idea if it's feasible, dangerous, or flammable but I know that I would love taking hits with weed and nitrous in them.
 
Wow, usually crazy stoner ideas are silly and pointless, but if this could be somewhat safe and could work you may have just sparked a new trend. I want to try!
 
Anybody have any hints or tips how to construct a NosBong? this idea does sound good doesn't it, haha
 
Instructions for making a poor mans NosBong

Fill balloon.
Prepare bowl.
Get into bong hitting position.
Have friend place balloon over carb.
Start hitting bong.
Have friend release contents of balloon.

The only problem with the idea. You couldn't get very big hits. Because you want a full hit of nitrous (which is about a lungful), and a full hit off the bong (again, about a lungful). So you'd at best be getting half a hit off of both.
 
thanks red haze, that's about like what I was thinking. would it be worth it? these half hits??
 
I've had the same idea before and my friend's and I decided on going full force on both of them independently. I like how it sounds when you hit the bong after a big whippit.

Caution: Don't try and hold a bong or lighter after a whipit, have your friends do it
 
Yup but I wanna make it somehow so that the bong's weed smoke is propelled into my lungs by nitrous, not by air..hm...I think REDHAZE's idea would work find, I just gotta do it sometime.

Maybe if you could wrap the balloon around the end of the bowl then when you inhale the nitrous would get sucked through the bong right behind the weed smoke. Only problem would be getting the weed to burn...:\
 
to be honest whats the point? just hit a lung full of nitrous after the bong hit?
 
I think it would be fun and work well at the same time, don't let these other guys get you down. Expiriment and then post your results!
 
ok some retarded shit is being thought up here, but it could work if changed a little. WEED WON'T BURN OFF NITROUS!! burning is oxidization, that means O2 not N2O. but if you had a mixture of air and nitrous it might work but the weed would burn like shit. i dont think nitrous is flamable as there is no hydrocarbon content. good luck, post blueprints if it works
 
What are you talking about ^^, i think you are confused. You would still light the bowl on the outside of the bong, where there is oxygen all over, and the nitrous would go through the bong through another hole, sooo it would be fine...i think..
 
Don't think nitrous is flamable?! Why do you think they inject the stuff into engines? For more oxygen. The heat breaks apart the atom and uses that extra oxygen to burn more fuel faster. More power, car go faster.

I've thought about this before, and I don't think it would really work.

Even if you managed to build something like this, you still wouldn't be able to get a full hit of nitrous in. As Red Haze mentioned, you really need a full lungfull or two of nitrous to get where you want to go, and it would hit you before the weed did anyway.

Much better just to hit the bong, then hit the nitrous.
