It's one of the few substances and methods of taking them that I've decided is off limits for me. And I haven't felt the need to go through the experience myself in this case, as I often do, in this case the experiences of others has been more than enough, for once!

I really should probably put crystal meth in the same category, I can't see any good coming from that either. Whenever I read or hear of someone elses experiences, it's never good. Or rather all seems great, at first, but it doesnt take too long for things to start descending straight to hell.

Some people have compared MDPV to crystal meth and crack, and I can see that there may be some similarities. Fortunately though MDPV was extremely cheap and potent, with a small amount going a very long way. So it was never going to financially ruin me at least. The same cannot be said for crack from all that I hear.

It's hard to see how people can do that to themselves until you hit the rockiest of rock bottoms then you're like "oh shit maybe I can't fuck my life up any worse" then you find out yes indeed you can there is a ceiling but absolutely no floor

Only smoked crack/base (likely base) in The Netherlands a few times.

First time I smoked base (in Rotterdam, second half of the '90s), it was from a pipe fashioned out of a the cap of a bottle of cleaning agent with a stem melted in and with aluminum foil with holes in it with cigarette ash on top of it and the rocks on top of that, lit by a bic lighter.

Guys don't seem to cover the rocks with an additional layer of cigarette ash.

Second time, was 2001 (?) in Madrid from aluminum foil in a speedball with heroin.
(ended up homeless (but sober except for a little alcohol) for 4 months.

Third time, it was a metal pipe with cigarette ash.
Fourth time as well (with other MSM guys).
Fifth time again a metal pipe (guy is addicted).

When I go to the 'semi-official' Amsterdam cruising spot, I see a few guys smoking base -always from a metal pipe - and I Fraggled a guy who smoked a metal pipe, with - I assume - base in the cruising area of a bar in Amsterdam (this is not allowed, but I'm not normally a tattle-tale).

Men who have Sex with Men sometimes smoke base for sex (meth in The Netherlands isn't usually supposed to be very good), but when we do, we lose our erections for a while.

The guy who tried to Fraggle me in the cruise-park three weeks ago, smoked from a metal pipe as well, and gave me a rock which I smoked in my glass (meth) pipe ( with bulb that I used to smoke NEP with).

I've seen on YouTube you get straight glass pipes from harm reduction services in Paris, but although I am there regularly, I have not seen anyone use one so far.

Yeah, with many things I needed to / wanted to learn myself the hard way through first hand experience. Even though fully aware of the dangers and warnings eg Phenazepam, MDPV.

There's only a few substances that I just kind of knew that I'd fuck my life up in an extreme way and very quickly spiral completely out of control, and so I avoided them.

Crack was one of them.

At least with the other stuff; benzos, kratom, Odt, mephedrone and other similar stims, the process took longer and was more gradual, and maybe less severe or 'hardcore' in some ways.

Although I'm fully aware that long term benzo use is nothing to take lightly, at least it seems it's not as immediately obvious to everyone if you are, or have been, a hard core crack user, as it can't half ravage peoples appearance, relationships, employmemnt,, housing etc. I'm sure you know the stories.

Dunno if been said but glass straight shooter or steamroller pipe ,glass ofc with a torched brillo is the only acceptable method, fuck foil, fuck ash, fuck stupid bottle pen contraptions as you want smallest surface area to scrape that lovely recycle n have that all important wake n crack...
