GH won't make you grow, it might give one an edge. No one had "edge" then than they do now. Steroid use was enough edge then.

Just curious, isn't carbs not all that important when bulking but calories are? So with a ketogenic diet which is low on carbs, adequate in fat and protein, usually these foods have high calories as well. I always thought to bulk up all you need is a high calorie diet. So the ketogenic diet should work?
You need glycogen...
What I meant ongos is most people believe in order to consume naturally occurring vitamin c one would have to consume fruits. When in reality there is meat that contains it in sufficient amounts for the human body to function.
I don't think anyone can grow serious lean mass on a ketogenic diet because that diet brings your IGF-1 levels to rock bottom, and you need high levels of IGF-1 to put on mass.
There's someone on another forum I participate in that stays in keto Most of the year and grows. It's cyclical keto with carb refeeds but still a keto. He runs a bit of gear though so I'm not surprised but his physique is far from stringy and flat.I don't think anyone can grow serious lean mass on a ketogenic diet because that diet brings your IGF-1 levels to rock bottom, and you need high levels of IGF-1 to put on mass.

By the way, I just shopped at Aldi for the first time in my life and I've never seen such healthier selection of foods and cheaper priced than Walmart! I've always shopped at Walmart and never knew of Aldi prices or quality til I read the news that they have cheaper prices than Walmart. Plus they are opening 650 additional stores in the next 5 years! I can definitely get on a ketogenic diet shopping at Aldi. Anyway, where do you guys buy groceries from?
Wallmart, much cheaper than aldi...

Question, I don't want to gain the weight but want to run on glucose rather than ketones. I know avoid pizzas and doughy carby type foods. So if I want to run on glucose and not gain weight, would using tablespoonfuls of glucose be ideal? I won't get fat from it would I? I just want glucose as my source of energy rather than ketones. Someone here mentioned glycogen is needed to grow. What does that necessarily mean? Taking too much glucose will make one grow or what? People get fat from carby/doughy food right but not spoonful of glucose?
Great for screwing up insulin sensitivity... Your body functions better with slower released carbohydrates...
