Hello
I will try to spare the lot of you with any sorta sob story and try to stick with what is relevant.

I have been using opiates on and off since I was 15 years of age.
I am in sort of a "pickle" this time around as I have recently moved to an area where I swear to you any opiate "therapy" is just not in the cards... EVERYWHERE is just FULL/no room for new patients. I have called every number on the "sub" website for this particular city and surrounding area for a month now and there just are not any openings and there doesn't seem to be any anytime soon. There is a methadone clinic in my immediate area... However I was told by the receptionist that in order for them to put me on the waiting list they have to "establish addiction" she explained to me that I would need to go IN-PATENT in order to do that. I am on paper on and off as far as out-patient goes but apparently that doesn't constitute as and addict LOL Trust me when I tell you the amount of time I have spent "in my addiction" GREATLY surpasses the time I have spent sober. BUT what ever! As I said the time off work is just not an option! I have in the past been on SUBs also a brief bit in a methadone clinic, and outpatient ( as I said different city ) they all ultimately ended with me detoxing on my living room floor LOL Not exactly an option these days for a couple different reasons. You now have a little bit of a back story I NEED SOME IDEAS... some brian storming... some magic fairy dust... whatever you got, as to how and what I can use to TAPER down and still function.
It's mainly Heroine I am using (IV) I am down to about 4 bags a day I don't really get high just kinda feel normal. I do have access to a limited amount of SUB 8's... I aquatinted with Kratom (used it nurerious times in the past) does anyone know of a Taper using suboxone perhaps with some kratom, I can just hammer through in a week or 2? maybe ending on a friday and just stay in bed the last few days (sat-sun.. could prolly get away with taking a monday off... just to get a solid 3 days of attempted rest) ALSO any idea of anything I could use to just get the awful feeling of just "BLAH" while tapering on the subs? also for the weeks to fallow?? MY boss REALLY picks up on days I have tried to just take a little sub and try to work... I work with ALL men... ONLY FEMALE so sometimes I feel like I have to put twice what they do in (doesn't help matters that I am 5' 1" tall and 125lbs... you get the picture)...unfortunalty I am struggling to keep my body in motion my job is relatively seasonal (though it's a long one) and we are certainly slowing down for the year so I figured it would be a good time to just get this outta my system.... PLEASE LIKE I SAID ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY GREATLY LOVED AND APPRECIATED! <3

there are hundreds of threads on BL about tapering, even a mega thread on it.

subs and loperamide, a few weeks, and courage. thats all you need. use the search engine.

Pregabalin or gabapentin can really help with WD symptoms.

As can benzos but in a different way. You should get a script easily enough.

Both of these substances are addictive, it's important you don't trade one addiction for another.

Maybe taper to 1 bag in the morning one bag in the evening and then switch to subs for a week or two, using your weekend to tough out the end of it cold turkey and have your comfort meds ready for work on Monday. It's important not to overdo it as its very easy to seem fucked up due to combination of WD and effects of other drugs.

I empathise. Getting off shit and keeping a job is not easy.

Gabapentin can do wonders Even regular tylenol and ibuprofen can help... For the "sweats" I used night time nyquil (or anything for flu.) I had to take it every four hours, but it helped me. It might help you get through work at least. Taper as much and as fast as you can! Good luck!
